Lake Wales head coach leaving for Warner University

Head Coach Rod Shafer is leaving the program to take over at Warner University. This came as surprise for both Coach Shafer and AD Marvin Pavy. 

 

Pavy told me that Shafer did not go seeking this job, so the change is quite shocking.

 

As you might expect, resumes are already flooding in for this position, especially for a team that only loses 7 seniors that went to the state semfinals, falling to eventual Class 5A State Champion, Plantation American Heritage.
