“Who wants to do a top 25” will save a lot of clicks

First, more schedules are coming! I promise. Had some things go down behind the scenes that took my attention away. Trust me I hated it. Second, I started my base research on who to consider for the preseason rankings. The first part is compiling a list of teams. The second part is going to be reaching out to media members in all parts of the state and talking to them, plus getting with coaches to give me some more details here in the next couple of weeks. The third part is compiling the rankings. So here is how the rankings will work: - Regional Rankings: 16 geographical regions, Top 5... Each week will be a brief reason why they are ranked plus a few bubble teams - Classification Rankings: 8 Classifications, Top 10 in 5A-8A (Regional rankings for regions 1-4 which will have the Top 5 teams each, plus a few bubble teams) Top 5 in 1A-4A plus SSAC (Regional rankings for Regions 1-4, excluding SSAC, which will have the Top 3 teams each, plus a few bubble teams) - Florida Top 25: Top 25 overall statewide ranking regardless of classification. Teams have to be ranked in one of the eight classifications to be considered for the Top 25. I am thinking of doing a more complete team preview for the Top 25 teams only once I figure out who is going to be ranked here. I am looking at new rankings being released each week on Monday or Tuesday (not sure on the day yet, but will be setting it here soon once I fully layout the content calendar for the season here in the coming days). Here are the teams I am considering. It is not an end-all-be-all type list. This was just a simple run through of teams without deeper research put into it. As I start to talk to media members and I talk to coaches, I will get a better grasp of who on this list stays for further consideration, who will get cut, and who will get added. It is a process, but it is not an overnight one. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. If you are going to say something about a particular team, let me know why you agree or disagree. Don't just say you don't like them on the list.
