Announced yesterday that David Hurse Stadium will be receiving a major face-lift for this upcoming season as they install a new turf field. This is big news for a small public high school (800 students) that doesn't have to share the field with anyone else (currently no soccer team at BHS).
At the time of the study, 14.9% of all college athletes were football players, and those 14.9% were responsible for nearly 2/3 of all crimes committed by college athletes. That is highly disproportionate. That statement accounts for the differences in numbers of athletes playing in each sport.
I am always surprised that school districts that have multiple teams using the same stadium and multiple sports from multiple using the same stadium do not invest in the FieldTurf stuff. Gainesville and Tallahassee come to mind.
Not that it makes a world of difference but Lecanto is not in Pasco County. It is located in Citrus County although they do play a lot of Pasco teams, which does not really help Pasco County get out of #2 spot.
