  1. I think Lakeland, STA, Dillard, Lakewood, and Blountstown are virtual locks to advance. I don't think I'd be surprised if any of the other undefeated teams fell though.

  3. Never ever throw a snowball at Buster... According to teammate Brian Bosworth, after a snowstorm, some players engaged in a snowball fight and Rhymes was hit. He went back into his room, returned with an Uzi, and fired it into the air.

I'll take that bet! I suspect they'll win one game by 56-0 and another one 54-0.

  6. Dillard, Escambia is not going to be an easy road for anyone. They are the product of Bennett gathering up players over the past couple of years. They are very fast, very big and play with a nasty edge. As to the hand wringing about the travel panhandle teams have dealt with this for decades. I will tell you like we have been told for years just deal with it.

  7. I believe we see it more in South Florida because of the talent on this end (Dade, Broward and Palm Beach). The more talent you have the small little details coaches tend to let slide until they catch up with you in key situations. Teams that is built like Venice those small details give them the ability to compete with the programs that is very athletic, they may not win them all but they have a chance in most of them because of the discipline. Calling a "spade a spade" some of those issues is what prompt the shut down of the Oxbridge program, they wanted the image of a Benjamin, Kings or Cardinal Newman but they had more of a "Inner City" look on field. Inner city schools will always have issues with the discipline because of how athletic and successful the programs are for as winning and losing. Look at some of the schools we recognize as un-discipline scores throughout the year both football and basketball. It's hard to tell a kid who is 14-17 years old why it's important to focus on the small details when they can spot a team 14 points and beat them by 28. Great example will be Palm Beach Lakes last game I believe they was down by 20 or so and came back to win that game because of the athleticism from front to back.

  8. Man you guys can’t hurt my feelings. Lmao! I would rather you guys engage in debate instead of being mindless trolls. If I say a team isn’t very good, or their schedule stinks, let’s break it down. Not just throw tantrum and change the subject.

  10. At Traz, it would be a lock for Central. At Naples, with Central not having their best year, it may end up being a very interesting game. I favor Central, but would not be very surprised if they lost to Naples on the road.

  16. Edgewater won't beat niceville even if they get by Lincoln. Hell Navarre had trouble staying healthy and had problems with a lack of depth but healthy Edgewater would not beat them either. Edgewater better have a plan for Lincoln's Clemson commit te/hback he is a real problem for most teams.

  17. Our coach was Richard “Batman” Woods. He played for the Tampa Bay Bucs and was a college hall of famer from Southern Cal. He was our school resource officer as well. He had a passion to get kids from around the school interested in sports. we were still a new school when he took over. He started coaching the third year the school opened. He built a foundation for that 2002 team with his desire to get kids interested in sports. He was really passionate about the school. It wasn’t some side gig. He cared about the students and kids wanted to play for him. my senior year we had some studs most notably Larry Edwards and Terrence “Country” Royal. Edwards was our running back/linebacker and Country was our D-end. Edwards went to UNC and Country to USF. They were dominant. We went 13-2 including pasting Lakeland in the playoffs. Lost a tough one to Ely and Tyrone Moss (RIP) After that season, Batman won all the coaching awards there was to win, and got a job coaching football in Europe. After Batman left there was a coach there for a couple years, and then Coach Mitchell. Mitchell was my PE teacher when Batman was the head football coach. Mitchell has been coaching the last 15-16 years and they haven’t done squat since 02. By keeping him as the head coach for so long with zero success it’s abundantly clear the admin and AD have no desire to field successful teams. They have been stuck in neutral for so long, they don’t even care to get out. There hasn’t been any change nor the desire to change the losing culture.

  20. All some do is knock around other teams on here. Other than the very foul language it was about HS football. Maybe pointing out that NoleBull and his team was the target of it hurt his feelings so some cussing started, but not by me. I just got tired of him bulling Cocoa so I punched him in the gut with my words.

  21. It wasn't thrown over there by nolebull, it was me That topic was never gonna stay football related and was getting out of control fast And Josh had me lock it down until he can look over the thread but he got a busy schedule so just realize it may not get addressed for a bit but I wanted to clarify it wasn't nolebull who moved them locked the thread, only a mod has the ability to move/lock topics

  22. I would never do anything remotely close to that. I’m not you guys. I can engage honest debate without stifling other people’s opinions with mindless cut downs. I don’t have that kind of power to move anything. And it got locked.

  23. The answers... #1 Hawaii #2 Alabama #3 Louisiana Hawaii is a tiny state, yet has produced 6 consensus all-americans of late. The entire state has a population the size of Hillsborough County. So, for this many consensus all-americans to be produced in 6 years from such a small population is pretty amazing. 2018 QB Tua Tagovailoa/Alabama 2017 DE Hercules Mata'afa/Washington St/Minnesota Vikings 2015 K Ka'imi Fairbairn/UCLA/Houston Texans 2014 LB Hau'oli Kikaha/Washington/NO Saints 2014 QB Marcus Mariota/Oregon/TN Titans 2013 LB Manti Teo/Notre Dame/NO Saints Tua's brother Taulia was one of the top-rated hs qb prospects in the country last year and appears to be following in his brother's footsteps at Alabama.

  24. Problem was he said 1a would be exempt from promotion/demotion (which is bullcrap in my opinion)
    1 point
  25. Probably 1a. But they are not a 1A school. They game the system with a charter school whose students are still eligible to play for Madison and which servers to reduce numbers. But seriously, even if that enrollment was counted, they probably would not surpass 2a size (certainly would not be 5A). But in terms of talent, they pretty much have a lock on the lowest class. In this situation Gatorman's argument for promotion/demotion system holds currency.

    Wharton High School

I guess it depends on what you mean by bashing. Only a sensitive pussy would cry that his team was being “bashed” just because someone is criticizing them. I said Bishop Moore is not a good football team. They beat all the terrible teams on the schedule, and got clobbered by the good ones. Translation: not good. That’s not bashing them. This isn’t some radio station where everyone has to agree that every song is great no matter how crappy it is. Bishop Moore had a bad year. Fact. You really like them. Fact. Just because you like them doesn’t make them one scintilla better at football. Fact. Hope this helps

    Wharton High School

Oh and only losers who get no pussy would ever bash someone because the team or teams they like aren’t doing good at that time. How much of a loser do you have to be to try and take athletic success from a particular institution to use as criticism to a stranger you never met just because they support them. Remember what I always say. Just because you like them doesn’t make them good. I liked Florida State since I was a child watching football. Why would I be a bandwagon? I like USF because I grew up across the street from the campus and watched them from the first time they fielded a team. And I graduated from Wharton in 2002. We went 12-2 and went to the state champ game. Our coach was a college football hall of famer and was the State coach of the year. The kids playing these days weren’t born or were shitting in diapers when I was there. Hope this helps
