  1. What an exciting game tonight TD's were traded back and forth in the 1st half with Rockledge starting off with a TD after stopping Cocoa's opening drive. Cocoa then came back and kicked a FG. Rockledge fumbled and Cocoa recovers. Two plays later Cocoa fumbles and Rockledge recovers. Rock punts/ Several plays later Rockledge intercepts a Cocoa pass and takes it to the house. Cocoa then drives the field and scores making it 14 - 10 Rockledge. Cocoa stops Rockledge and scores after going 90 yards. Half time score is Cocoa 17 and Rockledge 14. Cocoa and Rockledge fans are pumped making lots of noise after halftime. Rockledge stops Cocoa's second half kick forcing a Cocoa punt. Next play Rockledge takes it in for a nice 80 run. Rockledge takes the lead back but misses the extra point putting the score at 20 -17 Rockledge. Cocoa takes the kick to the 40 and then drives the field taking the lead back. 24-20 Cocoa. Rockledge takes the kickoff in for a TD, 27-24 Rock. 4th quarter, Both teams punt, Cocoa then drives the field starting at their 17, Cocoa 31 -27. Rockledge gets their last TD of the night off some nice runs taking a 3 point lead with a little over 6 mins left on the clock. Cocoa takes the kick back for a TD and the lead changes once again. Cocoa stops Rockledge on 4th 4 with 4 1/2 mins left. Cocoa scores another TD making it 45 - 34 with over 2 mins to play. Cocoa then stops Rockledge on 4th and 8n then runs out the clock claiming victory. Cocoa's first win over Rockledge in 3 years. It was exciting to watch this rivalry play out this year. Both teams are excellent teams and well coached. 2 year's ago the Bar-B-Que bowl went into OT. This year it was even more exciting watching the lead trade out the entire game until late in the 4th. All in all I would say both teams showed good sportsmanship even though there were a few words traded. Seen Rockledge help a Cocoa player up after a hard tackle. Good on you Rockledge. Both teams showed a lot of spirit and should play decent in the playoffs. Stands were as full as allowed and it was a great night for football. Go Tigers... and Go Raiders... You guys put on a fantastic show. It was truly a 5 star game...

  2. What up what up, it’s been a minute since I made a post & tbh I’m still heated that the BCAA didn’t give teams a option to opt in or not so were left to play games with really no true meaning other then highlights for the college recruits. But on another note I believe this is something that should be recognized & appreciated, after so many years of mediocre seasons Dillard has found themselves in rare company here in broward county. dillard has won 18 consecutive regular season games finishing (8-2) in 2018 (10-0) in 2019, and is currently (1-0) in 2020 and will look to make it 19 consecutive wins tonight fa stranahan. I know regular season streaks mean nothing if you didn’t finish the deal in the post season, but with all that has happen in 2020 and through the Dillard community these last few months I just wanted to take the time to celebrate my panthers, KEEP IT UP #ThisiSDillard

    Bartow

As you may recall, Hardee was unbeaten 2 years ago. We played Bartow that season and while Bartow was winless, their players were just as fast and just as big as any ours. Just no direction.

  5. WP and Olympia played a tough 1st half last night with both teams using their starters resulting in a WP 6-3 halftime lead. Once again, WP defense prevailed as their offense sputtered with one-dimensional running game. The running game works well as long as they avoid drive killing penalties and if they have some resemblance of a passing game: both worked against WP in the 1st half. The coaches went with backups the entire 2nd half and WP pulled away to a 34-3 win behind a balanced attack of good running backs and very good downfield passing by the 2nd and 3rd QB's. WP's depth on both offense and defense was too much for Olympia. I don't expect East Ridge next week will be a major threat to WP moving on to Apopka, but something has to change at QB before the Apopka game. They cannot continue to expect the defense to shut down opponents week after week while creating turnovers to set up a one dimensional running game offense. Olympia coaches stacked the line of scrimmage the entire first half and were successful in slowing down our running game and our QB couldn't come within 10 yards of completing a pass to a receiver downfield the entire half. We have better passing QB's on the bench than on the field.

  6. The defense will keep the Darters in most games. On offense, I wish we had a couple of your skill kids. Apopka relies too much on JL. He is a great high school player, but he could use some help running the ball. We do have a few receivers with decent hands. The O Line has improved with each game, and we have a decent kicker/punter for the first time in a few years. In a normal year, I would say Apopka is a second or third round team. This year, nothing would surprise me. It could be anything from losing to WP in the first round to going all the way.

  7. 37-20 says otherwise, granted edge wasn't playing their best ball in the 1st half, their 3rd quarter was a show.
