High school football helped many, if not all of us, to maintain our sanity during this virus. Next up, I look forward to several months of 7v7 football to fill the time leading up to Spring football. Thank you to all the administrators, coaches, and players that allowed football in Florida to provide us with a taste of normalcy.

I was going to post about #2, RB Kayleb Wagner. He was clearly the MVP for Baker (12 rushes, 152 yds, 12.7 avg, 1 TD). I live in Okaloosa county and have seen Baker highlights throughout the year on tv, but up until watching this game on livestream did not notice he had the physical disability. They said it was congenital. I think it's really cool he's able to accomplish what he does on the HS FB field and also hope he gets a chance at the next level.

So, it looks like OldSchool last posted (and reacted to other posts) on December 10th. I have a theory that sometime the following day, he and Jesse went up to Madison County High School to do research for the sequels to his Greatest State Championship Team Ever thread and his Best FL HS Offense of each Decade thread. The sequels are "Greatest State Championship Team from Madison County" and "Best FL HS Offense of each Decade from Madison County." He and Jesse wandered into the Madison County Public Library the morning of December 11th, armed with enough canned Vienna sausages, pork rinds and NeHi sodas to last them for weeks, as they knew the task before them would take many hours. They are currently holed up in a dusty basement looking at something called microfiche, which has yellowish-orangish images of stories from something the people used to call 'the sports section of a newspaper.' They'll emerge with enough information to supply MadCo Trivia Questions until football starts up again next fall. (At least that's what I'm hoping).

Plant won it in 1931. Imagine seeing someone with a shirt on that says Plant High - 1931 Big 10 Champs! I had heard a rumor that the 1931 Plant Big 10 Champions even got to go visit President Herbert Hoover in the White House!

In terms of football maxpreps poll is generally trash that I rarely even look at Though it does sometimes help me when doing rankings for other sports that don't have any other reliable sources out there because I can compare what I have to those polls and then analyze the early season results when doing my first poll to get a start point But that's mainly because I don't have the kind of sources for other sports like I do for football so I usually have to wait for a few weeks into the season to do a poll

1. You can't have an idle team in the top 10. There is no basis. 2. Edgewater would have beaten St. Thomas if it was not for: 5 fumbles, 2 interceptions, and a missed field goal. 3. Apopka led Seminole well into the fourth quarter and lost by four but they are not ranked. I could go on and on, but I won't. All I got to say is your list needs work.

Even more ridiculous is the team that lost to #2 STA by 10 points in the 7A State Championship game, despite outgaining STA by 100 yards and committing 5 turnovers (2 inside STA 10 yard line), is ranked 11th.
