Why not Aquinas vs TC?

Great win for Aquinas. A little conservative early, but really didn't need to open things up much as Viera did not stop anything Aquinas did. Ring #9 is on the way. 
Hat is off to Viera though for a great season in their first title game, they were a worthy opponent and their players, fans, and coaches should be proud of the season they had.

On a side note, the team I am with up here in NC also won state! Our first title since 2005....very long time coming.

Aquinas plays a great game and advances to Orlando for a second straight season! Sadly, I won't be making it down to see them as my boys up here in NC won 17-8 tonight to advance to the title game on Saturday.
Congrats to Branden River on an amazing season, they have a lot to be proud of and I know this is not the last we have heard from them. 
Onto Orlando and Viera! 

Games are won and lost along the line. STA will need great line play if they want to do what they want offensively. I think they can get it too, however this will be a close one.

Trinity vs BTW...man that'd be one interesting matchup! 
Heck vs in JAX Trinity vs Bolles/Raines in the playoffs? Man that'd be fun!

If we're comparing Booker T. Washington and Raines schedule on paper clearly the Tornadoes has the better schedule and battle tested. Don't get me wrong, Raines finally got over the hump of beating Bolles twice and when it counted but that's not enough.

5th time making the playoffs.  They made the playoffs their 2nd varsity season in 2008, again in 2009, and in 2010 with a losing record.  No playoffs in 2011-2013, then back in last year.  Never been past the 2nd round before now.  I read an article in the Herald Tribune that a some of the seniors on this team played as freshmen on the 2012 team that went 2-8.  The school is located in a high growth area and gets most of the east Manatee county kids too. Potentially, they could replace Manatee as the new power in that county.  

It is Braden River's first time this deep. For St. Thomas it is business as usual. St. Thomas has all the experience and tradition. BR is a good team that before the season started would not have imagined they would still be playing at this stage. St. Thomas has looked vulnerable at various times this season. But they are still St. Thomas and seem to be playing at their zenith right now. From talking with folks on the South West side of Central Florida, they think BR has a puncher's chance if they get the right breaks. My own feeling is that it will be difficult. I was very impressed with St. Thomas's victory over a revitalized Flanagan, who I believe if one of the best 8a teams this year. I thought the Flanagan defense would have held you. My heart says BR, my head St. Thomas. I am going to pick St. Thomas by 9, but would not be shocked if BR pulled off a huge upset. 

That will be the key. How BTW handles those athletes. If they don't you could see Raines come away with a state title. 

That environment is special. It is most certainly an edge for the Tigers!

Cocoa is good, but as mentioned before they have not played a strong team in 2 months. Also their secondary is weak and knowing the kind of coaching BTW has I think they'll find ways to exploit that. 
BTW beating Cocoa I don't think is a upset really, BTW has been on top for sometime now. Give me the Tornadoes by 7 in a tough hard fought game. 
Wouldn't shock me to see Cocoa win though. 

Very busy, but things have finally slowed down a bit! 

I think Columbia wins this one by around 21pts. Tigers are looking really really good. 

Gibbons beat Jackson?? I give up trying to predict that district. 

I think it all left lol. Honestly I think it did. Also slick you are right Gibbons and Stranahan are both out of the race. 4 team race for two spots. Two good teams are going to get left out. 

I think theyll take care of them. I was talking more in terms of nationally ranked teams. I know Miramar will be a great game as always though!

Aquinas over Flanagan. Sorry but after this performance I think they deserve to be #1. 

High scoring game! Looks like it was a fun one. Congrats on the W. I think Columbia will get some things figured out. Lincoln will be a big test for the Tigers

That right! That rivalry got national attention. As of now both teams are on the rise and muck bowl gotten alot more competitive lately. Pahokee almost got us last year!

This may be the best team Central has ever had period. I really am having trouble finding a place of true weakness in this team. 

Like I said we will see how good they really are. They have a pretty tough non-district schedule so if Oxbridge comes into the 3A playoffs with a very good record they will have earned it.
