Southridge doesn't have their own field. The reason why people think that is because next to the high school is a park called Southridge park and it just so happens a stadium is on the grounds. Harris field is home to South Dade and Homestead high. Another stadium North Miami aka Mosquito Bowl is right in front of Morning high school but that stadium is still shared with Krop, Norland, North Miami and North Miami Beach.

I see at best a 4-6 or 3-7 type of outcome here.

I'm still dumbfounded on how this game was even put on the schedule. I don't care what nobody has to say coaches, fans, students nor alumni Central shouldn't be playing East Ridge. If Central wants to be looked at as a national power then the Rockets need to handle the scheduling a little better. From the end of August to the next year of August gives you a year of planning a schedule. I guess I don't know much about Central Rockets football, but from the outside looking in I was expecting more then what I'm getting and same goes for anybody else is.

Let me clarify on what I've said. When I say every team needs a cupcake game on their schedule I was referring to the schools down here, instead of Central going up the road why not play someone down here. I know Miami and Southwest Miami are equivalent to East Ridge.

I get what the Cobras are saying but respect is due and Central deserves everything they've gotten or will receive. The Rockets have been in Orlando since 2010 bringing back 5 state title's and Boys Anderson has brought none.

And there are a lot of schools that are scared to play Florida teams

Let me say this about 6A down here. Central, Carol City and Northwestern are the three front runners. Now Norland is left but since Duke Johnson left they haven't been the same. I mean Duke literally ran that offense himself. As you all know Carol City was crowned district champs and Central runner up spot last year. Now do I really think Northwestern has what it takes to get back on glory day status hmm..... I think not but again anything can happen

Booker T. Washington is located in Overtown an historically black improvised neighborhood. The enrollment is and I'm taking an estimated guess here at 950 students which puts them in 4A. Now out of the 950 students half is Hispanic because of the Wynwood area and a certain part of Lil Havana feeds into the school and most would consider these inner city areas with so much going on that it's hard for a lot of the neighbouring kids to attend the school. Overtown area has the home grown talent so except for a few transfers in majority like 95% of the kids live in the neighborhood. I say all of this to say that the throne will be here for a long time so I can't say when they'll fall and due to the demographics it's gonna be hard for the school enrollment to increase leaving them in 4A.

I'mma say the Miami Jackson generals. Although the generals seem to get everyone hyped up year in and out and they come up with nothing but I still think there's some hope. In the district you have American Heritage, Hallandale, Coconut Creek, Stranahan, Cardinal Gibbons and of course Jackson. Now American Heritage is obviously the front runner but anything could happen like an upset with Jackson being district champs. For those of you who don't remember Jackson beat American Heritage twice back to back in the playoffs 2011 and 2012. But realistically speaking it's gonna be American Heritage then Jackson/Hallandale but I'm going with Jackson. With a new coach, graduating seniors and transfers I just don't know if Hallandale will be the same.

Miami Northwestern vs Miami Jackson. History of this rivalry dates back to the 1940's when D.A Dorsey would play Booker T. Washington, then in 1955 Dorsey become a educational school and Northwestern opened. 1955 started the Northwestern vs Booker T. Washington game. 1967 Northwestern and Jackson started the rival and still in existence. Jackson started out as an all white school but when segregation ended blacks were sent to Jackson, thus making it a majority black school hitting the 70's Overtown area split into 3 schools Jackson, Miami high and Miami Beach but I think the volk of the of them went to Jackson. Biggest attendance record was in 1998 Soul Bowl 1 and 2. Soul Bowl 1 46,474 and Soul Bowl 2 35,000.

Not a long rivalry but been playing each other since 2008 Miami Central vs Booker T. Washington. Series is 8-3 Central leads. I believe one year they played and it just continued until one point they were both number 1 and 2 in the state and one year both were in the top 10 in the country.

My personal opinion on Miramar is the coaching staff. South Florida is completely different or maybe it's the same being that I rarely keep up with Central, North and the panhandle. But yeah if you don't have the right coaching staff you won't go far. When we had Cogdell we went to states twice and pretty much owned the district except for the old glory days of Cypress Bay. Talent was consistently coming in and out. When Cogdell left we stayed optimistic but things just went worser being disqualified from the playoffs and the next year not making the playoffs. Don't you all remember how good Northwestern was, shoot you couldn't beat them to save your life and not look at them. My point is without a good coach you won't make it far.
