@BrowardHandicapper You are absolutely right in what you're are saying but I just wanna add something and that's education. Traditionally inner city black schools like Northwestern, Central, Edison, Carol City, Norland, Jackson, Dillard and Blanche Ely just to name a few are now A or B schools. When it comes to schools like Gulliver Prep, Columbus, Belen Jesuit, St. Thomas, American Heritage, Cardinal Gibbons, North Broward Prep, Chaminade-Madonna, University School and so on these coaches come to certain areas and recruit the best of the best talented players. Now if your child has the opportunity to play football for a good school and get a good education free of charge parents will send their children left and right. Meanwhile you have those schools like Miami Palmetto, Miami Beach, Krop, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning, Coral Reef, Everglades, Stoneman Douglass, Taravella, Cooper City, Cypress Bay, West Broward, Nova, Pompano Beach and so on where the education is good but the football isn't so you'll have kids who'll transfer or don't wanna transfer into he school. Last thing Central has been to states 4 years straight and Booker T. Washington has been 3 years straight and are the best 2 running Miami and now with the education proving kids are now staying and grabbing others from other schools. So when it comes to Miami/Broward I think it's talent all across the board just spread out but I can't really speak on the rest of Florida though.

Here's my thing I understand schools like Booker T. Washington and Central are inner city black schools so they can't afford for other schools to travel down to Miami being that they need traveling and hotel expenses. Now the thing that get's me is the games in Georgia called the battle of the borders. Why in the heck Florida schools for 2 years in a row has to travel to Georgia I mean why can't these schools travel to Miami or a centrally located area in Florida and since it being battle of borders neither school is paying any expenses.

I didn't see that game but I did pick Miramar to win big I guess American Heritage (Delray) isn't as bad as I thought they were. As for St. Thomas their on another level all together and their going to be really good this year and I think they might beat Miramar. Now as for American Heritage-Miramar game I think Miramar's dark side defense will prevail and shut American Heritage down I'll say 31-14 how does that sound it's kind of close/blowout.

Let me say this, Dillard has finally beat someone who they lost to 4 straight years in a row and Deerfield Beach beats a sorry Northeast team. So to answer people's question know I don't think this is a big game. Central is ranked number 3 in Florida and number 8 in the country, whereas Booker T. Washington is ranked number 2 in Florida and number 6 in the country. Central has been to states 4 years in a row straight with 3 state titles, whereas Booker T. Washington been to states 3 years in a row straight and has 2 state titles and on a 28 game win-streak. In addition, both went on the road 2 weeks straight with wins. Miramar over the last 5 years went 42-12 with one state title and runner up title. American Heritage went 14-1 last year winning it's first ever state title and started out highly ranked but fell out the national polls. This will the first time I believe both schools are playing each other and this is why I think these are the two best games this weekend. As for Dillard and Deerfield what do they have to offer I'm just being real shoot everybody is entitled to their opinions.

Tune in to EspnU Saturday 8/23 9:00 pm. Booker T. Is not going to miss a beat. St. Thomas probably the only team that can complain . Not big on American Heritage they overrated to me..

Dillard's non district games from last year were

    26 point loss

    14 point loss

    50 point loss

So what's worse? Beating weak non district opponents, or getting your head beat in by tougher ones?

@MacMittens You are so right. Me and the Dillard guy got into it one day on here about Dillard and I said all people are worried about is what a school has done recently stop mentioning the past. Who cares what Dillard did in the 70's, 80's, 90's and the early 2000's I mean people do to a certain period and they give their respects on history but the big question is what are they doing now.

Why put up a Blog if you can't respect ppl's opinion ? You asked a question we answered it, Now you tryna convince us we are wrong. Obviously your judgement is clouded cause your biased toward anybody on Dillard schedule. I don't factor into history I factor in the here and now.. Respect ppl's mind about there opinion. Your points aren't valid there the past that's exactly why I don't respond to them. I speak on what I see .

Anyways you just got on here and you seem to think the same of Dillard as I do. Now I'd like for Dillard to do well this year but history says no especially with Central standing in their way.

@Dillard_High_Panthers Why do you think people have so much doubt in Dillard this year and I know your an alumni but be real when answering this question. What do you really expect from Dillard of course you gone say 10-0 but is their any games your skeptical about.

First off those teams bring back more experience and talent than Dillard. I saw Dillard F.I.U scrimmages and a couple of 7 on 7's. Creek is going to be good they have some really good players. Hallendale was young last year they are going to be good. Boynton Beach beat Dillard lasy year last I checked. My boy Jordan Merrill is on the team thatz my boy. Jason Collins is no Bud Martin . Dillard is young. I'm giving my opinion cause I seen those teams with my eyes and not what I read. I said those games could go either way but I expect Dillard to lose those games. I know Dillard history no need to explain.

The only tough game will be against Miramar. I don't think American Heritage will be good again as last year and St. Thomas seems to do well on the road against OOS games. Everybody else on the schedule isn't competition.
