  1. IMG handles SFA by 2 scores. Two boring all star teams that I never need to watch again.

    3S

    Naples probably overall class favorite

Columbia and Naples in the final? Look to be the two strongest remaining teams.
  4. EL with big win over Plant Tech almost comes back Central and NW much closer than expected Lakewood over TC in a classic 42-41 Kowboys move on in close one Columbia edges Escambia Too many Saturday games? What gives?
  5. Amplification is bush league but cheering, bells, bang sticks, and bands should always be ok.
  6. Haven't seen EL only, their scores. I think both squads can hit multiple big plays per game and that should make the game pretty fun to watch.
  7. if they survive and the game is played at BT, then they probably have a punchers chance. But I would certainly favor Lakeland
  8. How is BT rated higher than L? lol
  9. I think the easiest way of saying this is that after each round, the highest remaining seed should play the lowest remaining seed at home. The other games would be set this way as well, the next higher seed plays the next lowest seed remaining. I’m talking within the regions. Then when they get out of regional play and into the semi finals, the FHSAA could reseed based on their rankings.
  10. No my question was simply why aren’t the matchups in round 2 according to the seeding of the teams remaining? For example, if there is a 1, 2, 4, and 7 left, it should be 1 v 7 and 2 v 4? But this didn’t happen? So it was simply bracketed in the regions once the playoffs started, regardless of the outcome of games (ie, no reseeding).
  11. Both Plant and EL have had high scoring games but I agree with Perspective. I see this game as a 27-24 or 27-20 type of game. Of course I’ve been wrong a lot so who knows.
  12. Why rank/seed these teams? Seems like in the regional brackets the number one seed is playing a higher seeded team in its regional semi matchup than the lower rated seed in the opposite game? Thought the point was to keep teams playing in that format in the regional playoffs? Looking at the brackets there are several examples of a 1 playing a 4 and a 2 playing a 5 or lower?
  13. the ass enders have had a lot of trouble with the dc area over the years. lost to sfa multiple times and to st johns college prep
  14. These are some of (not all of) the good matchups this week. Who do you like? 4M Plant @ East Lake Winter Park @ Apopka 4S Treasure Coast @ Osceola 3M Tech @ Edgewater Ely @ Dillard 3S Columbia @ Escambia 2M MNW @ Central Lakewood @ TC 2S Palm Bay @ Cocoa

  16. Plant has been hovering around 2400 or 2500 for a while. But it’s incredible the school is so big down there and it’s second year? Where did all those kids come from? Lennard, Riverview, Newsome, East Bay?
  17. I don’t think TBT loses to Fletcher regardless. They can compete with anyone in the class other than STA. TBT does get some weird results. Should have probably lost to Plant despite being better than Plant. Probably should have competed much better with Jesuit, who is nowhere as good as last year. Armwood game was controversially decided. Yet they dominated and shut out a very good Wharton team.
  18. Hats off to Sumner, a baby program. Talented, well coached. Coach Ashwood will have them as a serious contender in another year or two. Much Bigger and more athletic than Plant. Plant won a squeaker 37-34 at home thanks to big plays (ko return for TD, defensive TD, long bomb for TD, and 4 or 5 other chunk plays). Home field big for Plant in this one. Even if they go out next week Plant has had quite a turnaround under Coach Brown. Congrats. Sumner will be a force with Ashwood at the helm.
  19. I meant as part of a larger event, like an Orlando-Disney type event where there would be 3 or 4 games with FL and OOS teams.
  20. Plant forfeited some games in 1982 when an out of state kid moved to Tampa and had exhausted eligibility up North. For context that’s 40 years. May have been a more recent example I’m not aware of?
  21. I think Columbia and Plant would be a good game and a fun matchup. They should try to set up a home and home or a neutral site game.
