Wood is fast and swarming. If they come ready to play at full attention I think Wood wins by 10 ish. But Vanguard is a fine team so it should be a good game regardless.

NO. And who cares about flexibility? 5 team districts suck. 8 team districts pretty much guarantee that you will NEVER get a team with a garbage record making the playoffs.

You couldn't me more wrong and that's saying something. Public schools could play private schools, just not in districts and playoffs. How do you think schools like STA, Heritage, and dozens of other survive on the playing field? They have to RECRUIT stud athletes. Johnny Science, who is going to MIT, could give two shits about spending 25 hours a week on football. And it's not like Johnny Fivestar's Dad is really worried if he gets that Berkeley Prep education, because his kid is going to college to play sports.

BAD idea. Way to destroy 100 plus years of a good sport. All you have to do is separate private schools. They can all withdraw from the FHSAA, who has no say or power over them anyway. They are private businesses, not funded through state and local taxes. They can and should do whatever the hell they want. They can get together and form leagues in their own best interest. But the best interest of public schools is to play together by classifications based on student populations and to have limited/strict transfer rules for athletics. This is not about school choice. Go where you want. But you'll sit out a year.

LOL. The booster clubs aren't coming up with 6 figure jobs for Mom and Dad. Your fears are not based in fact. Private schools can offer free education and transportation. Even the richest private schools wouldn't make a practice of getting lucrative jobs for parents. Too difficult and expensive.

I was there last year and the only long injury stoppage I remember is when the plant running back got dinged really well on the sidelines and they had to take for five minutes to get them off the field. Other than that the game had a normal flow to it

I thought you weren't allowed to have amplified music? I know opposing bands always try to drive the other offense crazy, but amplified music should not be permitted.

No. How about simply no athletic transfers and playing in the same school year unless you moved into the school zone and had a complete family move. Anything less, sit out a year.

I just don't see a team like Bloomingdale being able to hang with sta. I could give Venice a small chance. So I almost have to root for Venice, even though I'd love to see Bloomingdale keep moving on. Of course at the end of the day I'm biased, because I'd like plant to have an opponent not named St Thomas Aquinas if they are fortunate enough to win their next two games. Although that is also a big task in and of itself with Lakeland looming.

L can wear P down with Bowman. But I see 8 as the bigger threat. Pcan load the box to stop the run but it gets much harder ehen u have to account for the RPO.

And the whole system is whacky right now with too many classes, a horrible points system and small districts. See my numerous other posts on how to fix it. lol

TC always attracts excellent talent but can't hang onto it. I knew there were a few others. Thx for pointing them out. TC is a launching point, not a destination. Hoping their staff can change that because they are a program that has had enough success to where this shouldn't be happening.

If Tampa Catholic hadn't lost half of its team to transfers (QB Charlie Dean (Hillsborough), WRs Joe Hodge and Ahmarean Brown (Jefferson) they might have made some more noise. CCC is an excellent team. Hopefully they can compete with Chaminade. They are overdue.
