Miramar with coaching and discipline would've beaten STA last year and that is a FACT. I am not afraid to admit that. I too hope Miramar does well this year I feel like SFLA football is better with Miramar playing well. 

Let me say this. I attended all 3 games St. Thomas, American Heritage and Flanagan and I gotta say Miramar had those 3 in all phases of the ball. The reason why Miramar lost was due to lack of discipline and coaching. I can tell anybody and bet money on it that if coach Cogdell was still running things we would have went 10-0. When these boys start transferring from one school to another I completely get it because of coaching. I can't remember which opponent it was St. Thomas or American Heritage, but I just know it was a home game and you could literally see one of Miramar players acting out of control and wasn't listening to any of the coaches. As a spectator like everyone else sitting in the stands we're all in shock for the fact that we never witnessed something like this before or at least I haven't.

To my knowledge they have not. Central guys have also been very vocal about it as well. I think an Aquinas/Central matchup at Traz Powell would be awesome! Or at Joe Robbie if they cannot fit the crowd there. 

Miramar went to states in 2011, 1st year they're in 8A and lost to Plant ending the season 13-1. Just thought I'd share that. Anyways I think Miramar has a strong bid for 8A title this year, although there breaking in a new but one thing is for sure they've always had a stellar defense.

That is a little surprising if coaches are having to stop kids from transferring. I know they lost a lot to graduation, but I still expect them to be a very good team this season. 
However, if there is ever a time for Central to not just beat BTW, but win a national title this is the year. 

I get that these boy's want the best opportunities presented to them for their college future but transferring I just don't understand. Booker T. Washington is a national power so coaches all over the country know of this school. I can see if you're at Miami Beach, Miami Sunset, Krop, Edison and so on, then transferring would be good. Now granted the 3 year's Earl Tillman was coach 2008-2010 there record was 28-9, but today is new a Era and hopefully he learned from the past and will do great this season.

I don't think DLS would've won 50 in a row playing in South Florida at that time of their streak. Too many good teams and too much talent. They played and still play no one up in Northern California

They have a new coach that came over from the Central staff.. They return their now soph qb which played solid last year... I know they lost 3 players from their defense that's at BTW now... But it's really a 2 team district with Borland and northwestern knocking on the door

Yeah I was just going to say that about Miramar and St. Thomas. The last time Miramar had been to states was in 2011 and lost and before was in 2009 and won states. Miramar and St. Thomas over the last four last years have had close games 3-1 in favor of Miramar, although it should have been 4-0 but Miramar had some issues this past season that I won't get into. But yeah.... I think Booker T. Washington will be ready for St. Thomas but now the question should be will St. Thomas be ready for Booker T. Washington. Unlike the last time St. Thomas played a dade school which was Northwestern it was a little different because Northwestern has went downhill. On the other hand, Booker T. Washington is another breed and hasn't strayed away from competiton over the year's and I won't lie they've won some and lost some. Anyways this will be a good game and I'm so excited and can't wait. Let's go Tornadoes.

@STARaiders2014 Who you got and don't say St. Thomas because that's your school. Oh Booker T. Washington has 5 transfers from Pace one Northwestern two and Miami Springs two.

@zoeboy i understand what u trying to say but like im sure u would agree with, teams in cities like miami dont have long runs of dominace, it usally lasts a short time bc one bad year and most will start going elsewhere, miami northwestern had like 15 years of great play but it hasent stuck recently bc btw and central have started to gain all the talent so whos to say btw would be as dominate as aqunius was since but i will say they probley won a championship a lot longer ago, but they may not have, so many schools means teams may be good one year and bad the next

hey they are good I never said they were not, but without a state championship playoffs I don't feel that their should be any type of national championship, now I can see u picking best champs from each state and deciding which is best, but not with 8 in a single state, not fair to a team like aquinus who was good but never got to play them, which would have been fixed with a playoff format, especially with florida, bc 8 is a easy number to handle with a playoff like that

there are many good teams in florida that they didn't play for them to go play some team from Washington, and also I feel that we should have a state champion playoffs, I don't like having 8 different state champs

The Chafie Fields game...I remember that one. I also remember whopping them infront of a record crowd in Happy Valley which I loved more than anything. 

No, because Butch while he only beat FSU once. He got better every year, beat UCLA in 1998 and never lost a bowl game. We haven't won a bowl game since 2006. It needs to change if Miami wants to get back on the right track.

South Florida and Dade county are alot different than what we see here in north Florida, And as long as one of those teams are in the finals they have a lot better shot at winning it. Columbia high is a good team but they are not on the level as most teams from Dade County, It's just numbers the population in 2014 for Dade county was 2.4 Million and Columbia county is 64,000, 37 times larger.  If you guys want to prove yourself put Booker T on the schedule i would even skip a Trenton game to watch that as long as it was in Lakecity      

I agree Zoe. Sad because this team has enough talent to at least MAKE the ACC title game. Maybe they wouldn't beat an FSU or Clemson there but they can certainly get there. Coaching has cost them.
