  1. Sort of but IMG has what 2 players of 60 from outside of the US? 60% of the Montverde basketball roster from outside of the US?
  2. Montverde Academy wins soundly. Although the team is almost all international (only six Americans on the team), they are no doubt the best HS Hoops team in the country. 35-0 perfect season!
  3. Considering they are #3 going in, dismantled both of their opponents to get here, playing on a neutral court in a national tourney, I would say these are probably the two best teams in the country playing one another. May the best team in the country win....
  4. Based on the timing of the move is it safe to say Hedges did not want to fight for his position for Venice which is the school he has played at for 3 years? Wolff comes in as a Senior and did Hedges likely assume he would be the starter and made the move to Lemon Bay? I saw some film on Hedges and he seems like a very adequate southpaw at the Varsity level. Hope they both are happy and do well this year.
  5. Catch #3 University School (Davie, FL) versus #1 Montverde (Monterde, FL) from Madison Square Garden Saturday March 31st, 2018 at 12 Noon Eastern on ESPN 2! http://geicohoops.com/
  6. Good read by Walter Villa and the Miami Herald on Machado landing at Miami Central: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/high-school/prep-recruiting/article207273714.html
  7. Seems like a solid pick up for Dr. Phillips. Saw some film on him and his arm shows his 6'5" frame well.
  8. For sure. Agree...I just thought Columbia might be have his words twisted a bit based on what Wekiva is bringing back this year. I was just mainly replying to Columbia that Wekiva has a pretty damn good start on paper with being able to "stack up" with central FL teams based on what they have for talent returning. 7 return on Defense alone with Power 5 offers which is pretty impressive.
  9. 2019 RB Lavelton Williams has transferred from Fort Lauderdale High to American Heritage Plantation 2019 WR/S Cortaz Gethers has transferred from Coconut Creek to St. Thomas Aquinas 2020 WR Josue Ultima has transferred from Miami Edison to Miami Central 2019 OL Marek Malinowski has transferred from Stoneman Douglas to American Heritage Plantation
  10. If this is a problem....Is it safe to say that the fact that this is one of ( if not) the busiest strings on this website it is part of the problem? Is it safe to say that when we read post, comment and read about these transfers that we are part of the problem? Why less interest in 7v7 and Flag Football that is happening right now? Are there any current strings for the current season 7V7 and Flag Football over the last few weeks and months??? Right now the primary interest in the forum seems to be transfers, coaching changes and scheduling. Maybe Josh can confirm that. Are we sort of watching this wrestling event? Kind of feeding off the promoters? Kind of a feeding the fire philosophy? My point is we can sit here and talk about what is right and wrong with coaches and players making moves and whether we agree with these moves or not, at least it gives us something to talk about in March....
  11. Knew this was coming ....just where is what I wondered...Solid pick up for MNW. Archbishop McCarthy has been pretty decimated the last couple years....
  12. 2020 WR Ethan Corbijin has transferred from Archbishop McCarthy to St. Thomas Aquinas.
  13. So you are saying strong defensive teams are usually a bad match up versus Vero Beach?
  14. Not match chatter on this....Hard shoes to fill with HC Wilkinson's 13 year tenure...Would like to hear the thoughts from Cocoa fans on the hire? More from Brian McCallum and Florida Today: https://www.floridatoday.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2018/03/26/cocoa-hires-schneider-football-coach/460178002/
  15. We are in March...9 players with power 5 offers and 7 on defense. My question is how do other Central FL teams stack up with Wekiva?
  16. Trying to confirm if Dwyer got a transfer (DB) from another school in the district......
  17. From what I gather, STA is getting a few players in but through March , not at the rate and star power of say the 2014,15, and 16 seasons. Although it is still way too early for a "Way too early top 10", I would have trouble leaving STA off that list. Columbia are you sure you are not a little bias with leaving STA off that list? or maybe you just miss Los who can set some facts straight with 2018 STA for you ?
  18. Torey Morrison is the youngest on that list and was just playing in the youth leagues a couple years ago. Wasn't he a dominant defensive player as well in youth football?
  19. McArthur just brought in a new HC in Pierre Senatus formerly of Hialeah, Miramar and a Asst. at BTW. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/highschool/football/broward/fl-sp-mcarthur-senatus-20180212-story.html If I'm not mistaken ballpark figures for last year were probably ....80% of transfers in Broward were heading to DFB, Miramar, Broward Privates and 6A-16. Dillard, Western and Ely probably accounted for another 15% and probably 5% were a mix.
  20. Not to many...but honestly it depends on the type of offense a team runs. I can definitely tell you when a team has over 300 TOTAL yards regardless if it was in the air or on the ground they generally have a great shot at winning a football game. Gainesville did have over 300 total yards that evening. Is it safe to say Columbia sneaked past Gainesville in that game?
  21. What you fail to mention though is Gainesville's potential game winning drive was actually halted by penalties and they were also heavily penalized in the game as well. You also fail to mention Gainesville had over 300 passing yards on Columbia that evening.. Is it fair to say Columbia sneaked past Gainesville that evening? Just saying.
  22. South Plantation HC Dominic Anderson has stepped down to take a DC position at University of Pikeville (Kentucky).
