Well Dillard_High_Panthers.....you called it . Dillard with the W over Deerfield Beach in solid fashion. I did not get to catch the game but tell me.... were the Deerfield refs out in full force? LOL Monarch now appears to be the top 8A team in North Broward County....Next week I believe Dillard faces off against Coconut Creek. Coco Creek might be a little under the radar and underrated . They got a couple of playmakers and could make things interesting. Dillard should be alright though....

31-14 seems doable. Sometimes Miramar can start slow in their bigger home games (Monarch, Flanagan, St. Thomas all last year -2013).. they got to avoid that.. I think this American Heritage Plantation team is going to try to establish and run down their throat. Miramar has gotta get mean and nasty in the trenches! Agree, St. Thomas is just on another level. You got credit a team that continues to play Miramar (who seems to have their number of late -last 3 years right?) . Some teams would try to back out of that stuff just to keep their records pristine.

They were decent in 2010 9-3 and went 11-2 getting knocked out to St. Thomas 28-16 in 2009. Other then that you got to go back....

Fair enough, but until Miramar smashed Deerfield Beach last year . Deerfield Beach was indeed ranked in the top 25 in most National Polls. Can't say that for Dillard but I will say Dillard might possibly be able to pull off the upset to their credit. So what would Palm Beach Gardens vs. Miramar be considered a "big" game to you?

Well 09mrslick we both know Miramar usually beats the best but can on occasion beat themselves. Keep in mind before you predict this game that American Heritage Plantation and American Heritage Delray are sister programs ....That said, you can be assured that some very sharp coaches and coordinators are exchanging /dissecting notes and film on Miramar. I also think Miramar knows what's up. That explains their very vanilla 14 point offensive performance vs. American Heritage Delray. Don't get me wrong American Heritage Delray are a solid program (they have a very strong established youth football/pop warner feeder program up there with hundreds of kids enrolled) I just think Miramar was holding back on plays, schemes, formations etc...Put it like this, American Heritage Delray was a very convenient matchup vs. Miramar last week for American Heritage Plantation (if that makes sense) . Miramar better get ready to be nasty because American Heritage has an average O-lineman of 6-4, 295 . Scary. Not sure if Miramar has the size to counter that but we both know quickness and aggression can topple size sometimes. If American Heritage Plantation get the run established and take care of the ball this game might going down to the wire. I think Miramar needs to get a special teams TD , maybe force a takeaway or two and get a double digit lead. I can't see Gibson beating Miramar through the air. Corners are way to fast. If I am not mistaken, American Heritage has struggled stopping the big plays and special teams this year. That has been their downfall. Not only against St. Thomas, but even Dwyer was able to hold on for 3 quarters with special teams and big third down conversions. I don't know much about the Miramar QB but I am curious to see how he fairs this week. My Prediction: American Heritage 16 Miramar 24

Damn....nice win for Clewiston but Ely has been in a drought of late!

Didn't catch it but why is it 90% of the time Florida teams have to travel and play these nation-wide road games? If it is the heat that is BS....Nevada, Texas , Louisiana and all through the Southeast can get as hot or hotter than Florida in August! I wish Hoover, AL would come down and play in Miami next year. Seems fair to me.

Agree 09mrslick- those are the 2 most heralded games in South Florida but to be fair wouldn't you agree Dillard @ Deerfield Beach is a great rivalry game and perhaps the 2nd biggest game in Broward County. Would you agree Dillard and Deerfield Beach (although Miramar did smack them post-season last year lol) are top 10 programs in Broward? I'll be the first to tell you Miramar and American Heritage Plantation are top 5 in Broward for now with Miramar looking to prove they are best in the coming weeks....

Along with Dillard @ Deerfield Beach, the American Heritage Plantation @ Miramar is the Game of the Week for Broward County to many....it might be fair to say that the winner of this game gets bragging rights as the second best team in the county for the moment. Who takes the battle of the Patriots? Thoughts? Predictions?

This is a tough one... a couple things to consider.....3rd tough game on the road for Dillard, can they avoid a letdown after last weeks big win? Then you have Deerfield Beach...cupcake win in week 1 vs. Northeast - not the best primer before playing Dillard. Outside of the last reg. season game vs. St. Thomas, this game appears to be the Bucks biggest regular season challenge. Will they get caught looking ahead next week vs. rival Ely? My initial thoughts are Dillard is going to need a couple takeaways in this one (which they are fully capable of) to get the W. I still have to factor the home cooking in this one as I have yet to forget Flanagan getting robbed on this field in last year's playoffs...... I hope your right with your prediction Dillard_High, but I am going to have to call it: Bucks and Zebras 23 Panthers 22 !

Tough one for Monarch. This might have been their year to take down Deerfield.....

Very impressive STARaiders2014! Will the D-Coord situation be resolved or is it much of an issue? It didn't appear to affect the team very much as AHP struggled to get first downs. Looking forward to the DBP matchup.

Dillard is legit! I think they got a good shot next week at Deerfield Beach. Deerfield is always a tough place to play. Field is always beat up.... I thought Flanagan got robbed there in last year's playoffs. Dillard has got to avoid a letdown after that emotional win @ Plantation!
