  1. Just a thought to spare us the fanfare - simply add a link to any/all of the Columbia players with offers with their 247 offers and ratings page next to their name. 247 does a great job staying up to date with offers.
  2. One of the reasons is NW Dade and the Miami Gardens area is significantly more talent loaded then the Dillard/Ely area ( which are really near one another anyway in the first place). Flat out way more developed players coming up from the youth leagues. Are you aware that most of Dillard’s talent of late were actually inbound transfers? Again, the concept of the Dillard area being some Mecca of football talent has tapered out over the years. Kids also naturally want to win. Something 16-6A has been pretty good at. Just food for thought. Sincerely, 2018
  3. I don’t know the decade you are seeing this scenario as but: Are you aware most of the talent in Dade is not in “inner city” Miami? Look W/NW from downtown if you wanted to ideally build another private power. Perhaps by Dolphin Stadium might be a ideal spot Are you aware that there has probably been more talent from the Ely area that has been going to Deerfield Beach (and other public schools ) of late versus STA and Cardinal Gibbons? Now Cardinal Gibbons surely used to get a lot of Ely kids in recent years (and still do) but of late Cardinal Gibbons roster has a lot more kids coming in from the Coral Springs/Parkland /Tamarac area than “inner city “ areas. As to STA they get kids from all over but probably have more kids on their roster from suburban Southwest Ranches and Davie versus Dillard and the “inner city” Dillard area. This concept that the STA roster has all of these Dillard zoned players is exaggerated and flat out inaccurate. At least in 2018. So in the end I guess their are kids that are technically “not loyal “all over. I’m not taking a side or opinion on the matter, just presenting some information.
  4. So Columbia at 7-4 last year pushes them up to #1? As in below Baker County?
  5. Bolles the "4th" and Mainland the "5th" listed honorable mention is in that area is also off to me. @BrendanJ_Duval, I know it is still late spring but could you please add like a sentence or some reference as to why you have each team listed in this order. At this point, it appears you have a pretty nice dart board at home....
  6. IMO Baker County should not be #3 or possibly not even on that list unless they have everyone returning and/or got a load of transfers.
  7. There is, always has been, and always will be “desperation “ by teams. I noticed a team like STA is not on this list and considering they have one a lot in recent years they probably have a low amount of points in your system. I’ll go out on a limb and say they have a much higher probability to get back to and win states more so then anybody on this list.
  8. Edison was horrible last year but watch how quick they reload and become a threat in 4A this year...
  9. Considering there are 20 total 8A programs in Dade, one might expect some new blood in what I call 3-5 year power cycles. The problem is you have probably 6-7 teams at the bottom of those 20 teams and they can’t even establish a once in a decade “flash in the pan” season. They are unfortunately consistently 1-4 win teams. The funny thing is think those losing programs may even sometumes keep their coaches longer term then the teams that usually have winning records. Perhaps some schools take their football more serious....
  10. So 8A privates like Columbus do not count? Are you aware just a few years back that Belen Jesuit was a very solid program. Take Southwest out of their district from 2012 to current and they will be lucky to crack .500 every year. Don't get fooled by the numbers. As for Broward . I would argue Broward publics in 2015 were as good or better then any county in the state. Yeah, a whole 2 1/2 year ago.... Dade publics are consistenly superior because of 16-6A. 8A goes in cycles in Dade, Broward and PB.
  11. It is essentially comparing Dade County 8A to the top 8A teams in 2 FHSAA Regions. Regions 1 and 2.
  12. Are there more 8A schools in Miami Dade or Seminole, Osceola, and Orange County?
  13. Public school, not sure I can find one that consistent but if you are from SFL you should know that Southwest plays in arguably the worst 8A District in the state. Belen Jesuit is the only team with a pulse in that 8-15 district. Unless you feel beating Ferguson, Braddock, Coral Reef and Varela are not consistent, easy Ws.... I can't argue with those numbers but tell me how their season ends every year with that "winning" record? How is Southwest record versus other 8A Publics or any publics for that matter outside their District? What is Southwest postseason record in that super 39-15, 2012- 2016 run?
  14. So this includes Orange County, Osceola County, and Seminole County versus Miami Dade County?
  15. 2019 Isaiah Velez. Came over to Miami Northwestern from North Miami and agree.
  16. Well playing in the Muck tonight may be a opportunity to do just that. I do emphasize "opportunity" .
  17. They have won 7 total games over the last 3 years. Last year they appeared to have a solid roster and many thought they could at least right the ship. They were only able to muster wins versus Boyd Anderson and Fort Lauderdale High.
  18. So granted they have had their way with the likes of Ely, Dillard, Hollywood Hills, Stranahan, Fort Lauderdale etc...which have probably mostly been average at best playoff teams when losing to Dwyer since 2003. It clearly appears when they play winning teams in Broward and Dade (9 wins or more, public or private) they are 3 Wins and 9 Losses? There is no doubt Dwyer is arguably the premier public program in Palm Beach over the last few years, there is no doubt they have some of the best teams ever in Palm Beach County that may rival some of the best Pahokee and Glades Central teams. There is no requirement to play out of county or the top teams in your county (ahum ThunderWolves) all the time but generally speaking most top programs in SFL over the last few years do make an effort to play maybe a game or two against strong opponents either in county and/or even out of county. Let's take a look at some recent public school state champions in Broward and Dade regular season games versus non-district: Southridge 2016 (Played BTW ) , 2017 (Played Cardinal Gibbons Broward power , Carol City), 2018 (not sure) Flanagan 2015 ( AHP - game fell apart, Played STA), 2016 ( Miami Central Dade power- cancelled scheduling issue, Played STA, Played Oxbridge Academy PB power), 2017 (Played STA, played Oxbridge Academy PB Power), 2018 (Obviously does not make sense now) Neither of the above teams have had the consistent playoff presence of Dwyer in recent years yet win or lose they both made efforts to challenge themselves off State championship teams. Those are just two examples that never established the dominance of Dwyer but still went down swinging.....Now don't even let me get into public powers like BTW and 16-6A scheduling outside of their districts versus Dwyer. Dwyer has a plan that works for them and has even allowed them to slip past STA a couple times . Maybe Dwyer is right, and all of these other SFL powers are all wrong for challenging themselves to build....... Dwyer has always been known to get top transfers in over the years and as you stated Jack Daniels has been a winner for 20 years so they are doing something right. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
  19. Well Oxbridge schedules those games versus top Broward and Dade teams...- with a roster of 35. Broward Publics have not been up to par last two years - agree. But I'm talking over the course of 25 years. Would you have ever thought 5 years ago that the first top Palm Beach team to play IMG, Carol City or the defending 8A Champions would be Oxbridge Academy? When was the last time over 25 years years Dwyer sniffed something like that? Not even after they have had nationally elite teams.
  20. You heard from MuckOwl? He usually comes out of his hole around by now.
