Mike, I know for a fact that people from other areas of the state, definitely including Orlando, believe it is almost impossible to go to Venice and win partly due to unfair officiating favoring the Indians. I recently watched an Orlando area show that brought this up before the First Academy @ Venice game this year. The prognosticators on the show picked Venice to win the game because of the officiating. I’m sure Jambun remembers the ESPN televised game a few years ago, St Frances @ Venice. The whole nation saw the blatantly slanted officiating that favored Venice. Someone asked Jambun to look at the replay and even he couldn’t defend it.

I rest my case.

My family is heavily involved with the Charlotte Warriors. The Bandits are their main rivals. The teams my son has coached have fared pretty well against them. I have a friend that coaches with the North Port program. Also know people involved with the Bandits, North Port, Venice, etc. . BTW, Bandits coaches and parents talk a lot of trash. I thought Mentzer had the Tarpons program moving in the right direction on the field. They had scheduled down to play a schedule they could handle better. Your alma mater expects more.

Hey Jambun! How do you feel about the Lightning physically kicking your rear ends and beating your overrated Panthers 4-2 tonight at your Amerant Arena in Sunrise?

My Mother graduated from Plant in 1954. Does that make me a Plant fan? I always pull for Plant. Started following the Panthers on a regular basis in 2010. First time I saw Plant play was in the late 1970’s when they came down to play my Sarasota Sailors. I remember their band was way ahead of their time playing the popular music of the time with band members dancing during their halftime show.

Not surprised that he left for another school but did not consider Columbus as a landing spot.
