According to Josh’s list Lakeland is hosting the Battle at the Bryant Jamboree the day after their game with West Broward. Buchholz and Port Charlotte are the other participants that day. Are the Dreadnaughts double dipping?

It was ungodly. It was only time all season I felt like I was getting sick from the heat. That is saying something. I attended the Lakeland Spring Jamboree where the first contest started at 11AM. Bryant Stadium felt left the Sun had tickets at the 50 yard line.

Tell me, at first glance, West Florida’s logo doesn’t look like a semiautomatic firearm.

Hi Jambun, I have certainly missed our friendly discourse about the Lightning and the Panthers. It’s getting close to the end of the season so the playoffs are near. The Lightning are in very good shape currently in first place of the Atlantic Division. So I see the Panthers are in last place in the Atlantic Division with 7 games to go. Do you think there is still a path to the postseason for The Cats? When I moved to Boca Raton the people down here constantly talked up The Cats. Somewhere around the prolonged All-Star break you boldly stated The Cats were going to rise to their championship form. What happened? Reality?

Having experienced my first year living in South Florida I learned during the season game dates and times may change at the last minute. As a fan you better keep your head on a swivel with your eyes and ears open.

Very sorry to hear about this. My condolences to his family and fiancée. Saw Rex play many times for Plant. Used to see his family in the stands supporting him.

Piper vs Peachtree City, Ga. played at Dillard. Many times there were Piper players laid out with cramps on consecutive plays in the 2nd half. At the Vero Beach kickoff classic Carol City was defeated by the heat and humidity during the pregame. In the 2nd half their coaches knew the players were toast physically. No yelling, just enduring. BTW, these were the 2 games I had to take cover and hydrate. These kickoff classics that are played in the hours of the sun scorching heat are terrible ideas. 6pm starts should be the earliest allowed. The Lakeland Kickoff Classic starting at noon was brutal as well.

I went to some of these Broward Showcase games last year. The smokin hot, laser beam sun was the MVP at the day games. Players cramping all over the field. Not to be funny, I felt like I was about to pass out from the heat and humidity at two of the games.

What if Dan In Daytona stops by? Would you still be able to say that?

My wife and I stopped going there because the food is rather bland and boring. The restaurants are usually dirty and the wait staff behaves like they would rather be anywhere else.
