  1. Columbia that is a fair enough reasoning, but yes BTW is much better than most of the state at least over the last few years, and honestly last year is the first time either of BTW and Central had been test in the playoffs in some time. I will tell you this 5A isn't that strong of a classification especially if you are from the North end of the state. I would argue 6A as a whole is the toughest classification currently in the state, in fact if you look at region 4 this year it doesn't get much tougher than that; I will make this bet whichever team wins that Region will win the state title if they have anything left for Armwood.
  2. All we need to do is compare the schedules from last year who had a more physical one? Just because kids can come from anywhere in the country doesn't mean they recruit please provide proof that they recruited them to come there. Do you have any evidence?
  3. @columbia I assume you have actual evidence that the schools in Miami recruit or any private school for that matter. You do realize it doesn't matter if you are private or public recruiting is not allowed by the FHSAA as far as I know. So playing Oscar Smith, Tucker, Miami Central, Carol City, Miami Jackson, Miami Pace, Miami Northwestern, Gulliver Prep, Miami Norland, Miami Edison isn't physical enough this does not include the playoffs? All but 2 are very physical teams. Seriously, what are you talking about. Now compare that to Columbia's who has maybe 4 teams that are physical on it. I don't really care to talk about the past your 600 victories because you are only as good as your last game which Columbia lost to an average St. Aug team and BTW beat national ranked Bingham, so seriously stop everyone on here knows what you are saying doesn't hold water. PS for the record I am not even from Miami and do not care one iota about BTW, but hate when people talk someone because they are in a lower classification.
  4. @columbiahighfan now something that makes sense yes losing their coach may make difference especially if the replacement is someone from outside the program... But your arguement makes no sense because they already play top notch teams in the bigger classifications throughout the year and it hasn't beaten them up yet. Just say what you mean that you have no respect for the lower classifications, you seam to forget the beatdown Trinity put on ya'll, and bitter because Columbia doesn't get the respect "you" think they deserve. I wonder how well Columbia would do if they played tougher teams in 7A-8A or heck even played tougher teams from the south?
  5. Yes I agree that anyone can be beaten on any given day but you make it sound like just cause they are in 4A means they don't play anybody but that isn't true. In 4A they have to play Cocoa and Bolles to win a state championship. I agree there district may not be great but name one that is. They play 6A-8A talent every year as well as top teams nationally, so clearly their classification doesn't matter.
  6. Palm Bay Heritage vs Vero Beach is 2 really good programs going at it.
  7. columbiahighfan what you are saying makes no sense. You are saying they would still have championships but not be undefeated, how so? They play top team in 6A-8A all year, so how wouldn't they be undefeated?. You make it sound like there is some district in 6A-8A that has 5 legit teams in it, which one is that? Now you could argue about the playoffs but honestly outside of 6A Region 4 what other region in the state has 3 teams that could win a state championship in it?
  8. Dillard the easiest game for any of these teams in that Region will probably be in the Final Four. The state total change around the district in 6A from the original tentative assignments. The state really needs to adjust the playoff structure, teams in the same district should never have to play each other in the 2nd round. I wish they would take an the same approach that Georgia does for the playoffs.
  9. Dillard hands down that 6A Region 4 is the hardest in the state and whoever wins the region will probably win states
  10. Didn't Brevard County have another top team? Why don't they play them?
  11. Rumor out is Miami Central wants to move to 7A because STA won't play them. Anybody know anything about this?
