Should be a fun game next Friday in Gainesville. Definitely will be the best team either has faced this year. Niceville is now 9-0 with 9 running clocks. They were up 42-0 with 9:36 left in 2nd Quarter when Leon requested a running clock to start tonight. This Niceville team is gonna be hard to beat!

At least I just graduated from FSU so I don't have to see bad football anymore in person.

But on a serious note: I"d give Norvell time to fix the ship and build a program. I wasn't going into this with super huge expectations.

Until the failed James Blackman experience ends, it will get worse. Norvell needs to clean house. Start Rodemaker or Purdy. Who cares at this point? We know they can't win with him. We don't know about the others. Jordan Travis isn't really a qb unless you are going to run option or rpo only, but he is a nice weapon to have. Just not as a starting qb.

I requested a refund right after the game. NOT as a sore loser, but as someone who knows when he's been ripped off. The camera operator literally could not keep the play within the frame...ever. That's when the feed wasn't cutting out completely.

Escambia is the best Panhandle team, Niceville is barely slugging it out and scrapping by on wins to maintain their record. After that it gets debatable.

With Suwannee dropping Columbia this year the rivalry between Columbia and Gainesville is most common active rivalry as they have played over 60 times in past 100+ years of the rivalry

That on top of the demographic differences between Lake City and Gainesville makes this I75 rivalry a one that developed organically over time

It's also a very good rivalry in Winter and spring sports which keeps this rivalry very intense all year long

From a strictly football perspective I agree with you. Wake Forest, Vandy, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Rutgers, etc. were grandfathered in. They belong to the establishment and to the conferences that hold the 81% advantage in head to head competition. You can thank those grandfathered institutions for helping keep the margin at 81%. If those schools were in the G5 it would be more like 90%.
But the answer to your statement lies in the revenue those schools generate for their conferences from other sports and other sources. Not just football. Otherwise, we would wouldn’t be having this conversation.

I put in hours each week when I could be doing plenty of other stuff, if you don't agree with something that's one thing but to imply i have no idea what I'm talking about or that i didn't put in effort is a load of bullshit considering I don't see anyone else on this entire forum doing a statewide rankings even up to 25 and I've been ranking 80 teams

Even if you don't agree with what i did you can at least show respect for the effort i put into my rankings!

Idk. Niceville and Escambia are in different classes with the recent reclassification. Niceville (7A) and Escambia (6A). It could be a coin flip of a match if they ever played.

Northwestern defense looked great out there. Just penalties and play calling killed them in the end.

Jay Walls begins his eighth season at Navarre.  Navarre may not be loaded with big name talent, but that has not stopped them in the past.  Give a good coach 7 years at one school and he can work wonders with a reasonable amount of talent.

They're still going to be competitive. Definitely enough to clinch a playoff spot (or not depending on how the system shakes out and it resorts to a coin flip)
Escambia is ready to go again. Not much to say about them. Both sides have areas that are questionable, but we will have to wait and see how the season plays out.
Gulf Breeze lost their star running back. Their offense is hoping to reload. Likely they struggle if their offense can't come alive. Defense is ready to go though.
