  1. I don't understand why they are doing away with districts in the small classes but not the large classes, if it is good for one why not all. Maybe they are just going to experiment with the small classes. It is hard to tell how strong a team will be from year to year so you could make a schedule that looks good in the spring but by October you realize you are screwed. I also think it will be hard for really good teams and really bad teams to find games.
  2. Nope he saw that game twice last year and is ready for something new. I think the tigerfan name is because he pulls for Columbia anyway.
  3. Wakulla wins handily. Madison is very good but Wakulla at home is a tough task. Not a lot of tape on either team this year but Wakulla over Trebton on the road to me is better than Madison over Rickards at Boot Hill. Wakulla 27-16
  4. Only played one game and that was against a terrible team. Early season rankings don't really mean that much. This is a good way to see how much work has to be done.
  5. I'm just hoping Port St Joe can keep it respectable. The two games last year were tough to watch from our side.
  6. Actually in our area the Panama City has really good coverage of high school football especially considering how spread out the teams are.
  7. Years ago thats all we had was newspapers for prep football. I always waited with anticipation for the football preview issue to come out in August. The Tampa Tribune always had a good one. The only problem was the limited amount of detailed info available, sites like Floridahsfootball.com have much better coverage. Joshua and crew do a great job and I am thankful for the service provided. I enjoy the boards and although I only joined in the spring I have followed them for quite a while. The boards are a great way to get local insight on teams in other areas, most members give fairly unbiased assessments and that is such a great resource for those of us who love the game.
  8. I agree Columbia. There is also quite a bit of non Florida high school talk popping up. There has been a bit of a nasty tone in some of the comments recently, not just the good natured ribbing we are used to. I know this board is growing just hope everyone respects the rules.

Just got back from Franklin County (Apalachicola, St George Island, Carrabelle) water damage in low lying areas, and a few trees down but nothing to stop their game with North Bay Haven. Loaned some extra generators to a friend in Tallahassee, lots of trees down many parts of town to be without power for days so I don't know how the games there will be affected.

Port st joe has no damage at all. Sounds like some damage in wakulla. Headed to franklin county now to check damage to our job sites. Thank you for your concern. I hope everyone over yalls way are .okay
  11. Trenton is still one of the favorites to go to Orlando, like broward says defense first.
  12. Wakulla 16 Trenton 0 4min left
  13. I don't know that Trenton is down they've had some changes but they were so strong last year. Madison is strong but they are much bigger than most of the 1A schools. I think it's going to be the same top 15 as usual, maybe a South Walton slips in there but with enrollment of 700+ they are hardly 1A.
  14. Wewahitchka home of "The World Famous Dead Lakes" and Tupelo honey. Actually they are a 1A school in the north end of Gulf county they are one of the smallest 1A schools. Running clock 2nd quarter 48-0 half St Joe only dressed about 23 players so they could only do so much to keep the score down.
  15. One thing about Wakulla is they are strong, awesome weight program. They also play with a nasty edge. I think last years Trenton would have beat last years Wakulla but with major changes on both teams it could really go either way. Many people have been picking Rickards over Wakulla this year and Madison handled them. I'm sure your boys will do good tonight good luck.
  16. There were some eye catching results last night. South Walton, Blountstown, and Vernon all looked good. Lafayette and PSJ with easy wins against overmatched teams. The most impressive game would be Madison over 5A Rickards. 1A should be interesting this year. Trenton should give Wakulla more than they want tonight.
  17. Hey if your radio broadcast team doesn't believe in you then who will
  18. To me BTW winning a big game isn't really a shock. Those guys are hard core. Much respect.
  19. Figured I'd beat him to the punch.
  20. Maybe next year reach out to some of the folks here on the board many of these guys have connections and could probably help out with an unbiased preview.
