It's possible that they find their stride by week 5, but at the moment we just don't have the on-paper talent to compete with teams like Miami NW, IMG National, Cocoa, or Bishop Verot. If Venice can find a way to go 7-3 with that schedule I would be happy

Added a bunch vs Georgia today since the GHSA released the schedules for all their member schools. A great feature that the FHSAA refuses to do 

No one is cheating. Every school in the state has the same opportunity to choice in talent. It’s not South Florida’s fault for having way more talent and more concentrated talent. I do agree teams that have zero chance to win a title should secede from the FHSAA and let the real teams compete. But in doing so they need to cut the classes down

It's friggin' January. 
You've got the kids who transferred from one school to another prior to the start of this semester.
You've got the kids who will transfer before Spring practice starts. 
You've got the kids who will transfer after Spring practice ends.
You've got the kids who will transfer over the summer because they played 7 on 7 with some kids from some other school. 
You've got the kids who will transfer because somebody somewhere promised to give them or their family something if they switched schools.
In short, it's really hard to predict how good this team or that team is going to be in the fall because no one knows what each school's roster is going to look like come August.  For high school football players, August is a lifetime away. 
But Central and Northwestern will probably both be pretty good.  

Old news but this happened, Nade basically changed the QB color lol nawl nawl I'm just joking tho, Zachary Katz fixing to damage the next three years and on top of that, Chaminade already had back up talent that stood out last year.......

The problem with this system is the finals are actually semi finals games. 
 
9 classes was an embarrassment. 
Stop punishing South Florida for having more talent than the rest of the state. Every team operates under the same rules. You can attract talent just like anyone else. But it shouldn’t be South Florida’s fault their talent is better than North Florida. 
 
Because it sounds like the only way to stop the crying is to split the state into 3. North, Central and South. And each region only plays teams in their region. Because you won’t stop hearing the crying from North FL they can’t compete 

Think about this. Either Plant, Dr Phillips, Sumner or Durant will be in the STATE SEMI FINALS!!!!!!
we have sunk to an all time low. Not knocking the teams because it’s not their fault, but these are not the type of teams indicative of the true strength of the state. Their are so many classes that all the good teams are too spread out

And if you look on Maxpreps, that poll is used in their composite poll that takes the 7 or 8 national publications to average out rankings. So yes...rather you or anyone else feels that Central didn't win a share of the national championship last year. They did. Even if it was one poll. Sometimes all you need is one.
 

Just curious, what makes it OFFICIAL? Because when the word MYTHICAL is used, there's nothing official. 

Having the database of scores for 20 years is of value. But, the only reason they've been elevated so much is their agreement with state associations. They don't really have competition in the realm they operate. Of course, that doesn't mean their ratings are any good. Their ratings are really not what the FHSAA uses, though. Taking margin of victory out really renders the ratings useless. You can't say you're going to use someone's recipe for pizza, but decide to remove the sauce. You're not really using the recipe in that case.

With great sorrow I would like to announce I may be stepping away from the game of football as a fan and spectator indefinitely. After witnessing what I just witnessed out of the Miami Hurricanes I can no longer with good conscience support such things. It is taking a toll on my health & mental stability. They should’ve stayed aggressive after the bomb. How you get big play like that late in the game & go conservative. Makes no sense to me

Was a great game that Central definitely could've won. No idea why that randomly put in the third QB on their last drive when he wasn't playing. Should've stuck with the hot hand
