  1. Kind of off topic somewhat. Buc's defense stops the Jet's offense on 4th and 1 from the Buc's 5 yard line with only a minute or so left in the game with the Jet's leading 24-20. Buc's offense needs to go 95 yards and score a TD. FG won't do any good. Brady takes the offense down the field and they score with 10 seconds remaining to defeat the Jets 28-24. What a team. What a QB.
  2. Can anyone believe how difficult it is to do what Jesuit did stopping Pine Forest for 4 downs inside their own 5 yard line twice within the last few minutes of the game. What kind of a tough and disciplined defense is that? And then to have the temerity to score via a passing play to win the game after 4 interceptions against you during the game. Wow.
  3. 13-12. Seems as if Hawthorne either missed two extra points with both of their scores or went for two each time and were not successful, which in the last analysis cost them the game. Did Madison also miss the extra point in the 4th quarter? After the 4th quarter score did Hawthorne threaten to score?
  4. Funny. Madison lost to Hawthorne a team you said ducked good teams. Stop digging while you're ahead.
  5. What about "teams" that lose to teams that duck good teams? Hmmmmmmmmmm.
  6. You are going to look awfully silly if Hawthorne takes Madison to the woodshed tonight. If Hawthorne can overwhelmingly defeat both Madison and Pahokee they are certainly not overrated or trash (your words). Don't know where you derive your analysis from? Just seems like a case of disrespect and resentment to me.
  7. An observation. I re-watched the Madison - Hawthorne 2020 playoff game. Anyone who states that Hawthorne is not a very good team doesn't know what they are talking about. IMO Hawthorne manhandled Madison in that game even though the score was close. If Hawthorne is anywhere near as good as the 2020 team, and Madison is not a heck of a lot better team than in 2020, Hawthorne will manhandle Madison just as bad as they did Pahokee 3 weeks ago 51-12. For Jesse's sake I am hoping that Madison is indeed a better team than in 2020.
  8. Watched the replay of this game on You Tube. MNW was manhandled by Jesuit. The Jesuit defense is lights out with their players on top of the MNW QB consistently not allowing him much of anything. Their pass defense is also one of the best I've seen. Jesuit's offense seemed to cut right through the MNW defense especially #24 RB Smith. I've never seen MNW so dominated unless it was by IMG. Jesuit is such a well coached and disciplined team it's almost unfair for any team to play them. Pine Forest seems like a pretty good team. But, don't know whether they are even in the same ballpark as Jesuit. I do, however, wish them well.
  9. Don't make us wait. Please give us your words of wisdom why you "don't like Jesuit at all"? Must be a deep thinking reason like you despise private parochial schools especially the one's that could beat the brakes off of Madison and make your team look silly.
  10. Let's see, do you support UF, FSU, Miami? How about the Buccaneers, Jags, Dolphins? Are they considered Florida teams? How many players on these teams come from Florida? The players currently all live in Florida and will for at least 4 years. They are members of teams that train in Florida and represent Florida. Don't really know what you are driving at.
  11. Unfortunately some folks have a hardon for IMG, in that they recruit and the school is dedicated 100% to athletes, although they meet all of the conditions for an academic high school in the state of Florida. It is their right to support or not support any team they wish. However, I think it's foolish on their part considering the level of play you get when you watch them go up against another out of state national power.
  12. I watched the Bobcat's games, once again, against Bolles and Dunnellon two excellent top notch teams. The Bobcat's defense virtually shut down both teams offense. Their QB is a good one and their WRs seemed to get open a lot. This may be the best Buchholz team ever. I think it's good enough to defeat STA. After all Jesuit defeated them and I'm not sure that Jesuit is any better than Buchholz. Both American Heritage and Dillard also came pretty close. STA is expected to win but they haven't won yet.
  13. I don't know. The way that Buchholz handled Dunnellon, Bolles, Bartram Trail, and Nease, especially blowing out Dunnellon 35-0 in Dunnellon's stadium, I would say that Buchholz is going to be a handful for STA. That being said, I shook my head when STA totally obliterated Homestead 56-7. Is STA that good as they also defeated one of the top 5 teams in the country St. Francis.
  14. STA defeated St Francis the team that defeated the #2 team in the country IMG in IMG's stadium. Gave St. Francis their only loss of the season. I think that classifies as a "big deal" wouldn't you say?
  15. BINGO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I believe that Dillard is a Charter School so it would allow out of district students.
  17. You're correct. James Dillard was a the son of slaveholders and Caucasian. In his later years he was an advocate for raising the quality of education for black people and the reason for the school being named after him.
  18. A little historical information on Dillard: The Old Dillard High School, also known as the Colored School or Walker Elementary, is an historic school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is located at 1001 Northwest 4th Street. The first school building in Broward County for black students (earlier schools had no building), it was built in 1924 by Cayot & Hart and the architect was John Morris Peterman.[3] On February 20, 1991, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is the oldest surviving black school in Fort Lauderdale, and is named for black education advocate James H. Dillard. The Old Dillard Museum is located in the high school, which was built in 1923 as the city's first school for blacks. The museum's exhibits focuses on the city's African American history and culture. I do believe, however, that there are now non-black students at Dillard. Possibly "This_Is_Dillard" can confirm this.
  19. Not so sure about the Celtics. IMO they have struggled this season on both sides of the ball. They will be playing a PK Yonge team, in the 2nd round of the playoffs, that is totally different than in years past when they couldn't beg, borrow, or steal a win. This PK Yonge team seems to be pretty darn good. They have a Sr QB that has thrown for over 1600 yards and RBs and WRs that get the job done. If Trinity does not turn in a good performance then PK Yonge will defeat them.
  20. Well, you know Jesse, I can chew gum and walk at the same time. Obviously I follow both Trinity and IMG.
  21. Normally you can go on You Tube and sometimes the game will be available. Or possibly on IMG's Facebook page. I'm still hoping that ESPN will carry it as it may be the biggest HS game in the nation on Friday.
  22. IMG's starting QB A J Duffy will be out. A Freshman QB will start. IMO Duffy has not been all that great the entire season and the reason for a few close games that they had, so possibly it may not be that bad for IMG. They still have two top RB's Allen and Gage, a very good OL, and WR's that can catch anything. Plus their DF is lights out most of the time.
  23. For those that may be interested St. Frances Academy ( 7-1 ) Lost only to STA 38-23 in Ft. Lauderdale this season IMG ( 9-0 ) In 2019 IMG lost to St. Frances 35-7 in Baltimore St. Frances' football program has become the subject of controversy within Maryland in the late 2010s. After former Gilman School coach Biff Poggi took over as head coach, he began aggressively recruiting talented players from inside and outside Maryland, to a greater degree than other private schools in the state did. Within a few seasons St. Frances became effectively unbeatable by their traditional opponents in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA), regularly defeating them by wide margins.[10] Before 2018 those teams told St. Frances they would no longer play them, citing safety concerns as many of St. Frances' recruits were well outside the typical height and weight range for high school players and more in line with college football teams The team won the MIAA championship before the season even started since all those opponents had to forfeit their games, but scheduled intra squad scrimmages, opponents from as far away as Canada, and road trips to the South for the players' benefit. IMG will have their hands full to say the least. Being played Friday at 7 PM. Wonder if ESPN will cover it or whether it will be aired on You Tube.
  24. Any info about Heritage would be helpful. Their 3 losses were to pretty good teams. Harmony, Auburndale, and Lake Wales all fairly close scores. RB LJ Turner, 2070 Yds, 19 TDs seems to be their go to guy. They also seem to have a pretty balanced offense between passing and rushing. Except for the Lake Wales game, where they had 37 scored against them, They don't seem to give up many points.
