Well before this even came out Poinciana told the Orlando Sentinel they were going Independent again.
They missed Sebastian River and it appears that the commitment form was never filled out.
If they are going independent put them on the independent list. So now we are up to 3 schools they left off. Sebastian and Liberty. Why put out a list that doesn't include every team? Don't you think it's important to get it right the first time? How hard is it to double check the list and make sure you have all the schools and if the schools didn't fill it out send an email or make a call. They missed teams last time they did this also. I know Lake Minneola wasn't on the list last time. It just shows complete lack of organization. Don't rush out a half assed list.

Lol, they didnt even include us as a school at all.
Our District would have been, most likely
Celebration
Osceola
Toho
St.Cloud
Poinciana
Still puts us in a no win situation. Staying independent
So they miss a team completely. Typical FHSAA move. They would fu** up a wet dream.
I wonder who else got missed?
How many teams will still cry and try and change to an easier district based on travel

Like I said earlier in text Bad Birdy there wasn't a whole lot that the FHSAA could do with the current state statutes that would actually help the situation
tons they could do. They chose to create more classes which created more 3 team districts to try and please the cry babies and chicken shits in the suburban areas (not all Suburban teams are cry babies and chicken shits just wanted to make sure to clarify)

Windermere Prep... sorry this is what happens when the the list is just one big jumbo list.
well it wouldn't matter they couldn't compete in 4M or 2M

District 2M-4
Orlando Bishop Moore
Orlando Lake Highland Prep
WindermereWindermere last report had over 3300 students. Hard to believe they dropped that many kids. Yes Horizon opened last year but That area is growing.

District 2M-2
Jacksonville Bishop Kenny
Jacksonville Bolles
Jacksonville Episcopal
Jacksonville EpiscopalEpiscopal gets 2 chances to make it. I believe this should be Wolfson

I would be really cussing up a storm if we didn't have the power rankings for playoffs to help sort that out. I can live with this knowing the power rankings can help this scenario.
you should be. It's a joke. I'm at least glad they got rid of the RPI and went with power ranking.

District 3M-3
Orlando Edgewater
Winter Garden Horizon
Orlando Jones
Orlando Lake Buena Vista
Apopka WekivaPoor Horizon and LBV. We know you are a new school but here is Edgewater and Jones. Oh and Wekiva just in case the other 2 were not good enough.

Welcome to 3 team districts. We now have 16 3 team districts. I'm super excited for next year.

I'll take my chances with Cocoa over Miami Central or Northwestern
At least they don't get 20 rated transfers in one off-season which is more talent than every bordering county up here combined
you prove my point it's Miami not Metro
-
State Titles in the last 3 years
Metro Private 14
Metro Schools in Miami 5
Metro Schools not in Miami 1
Suburban 1
Suburban private 0

Yeah I'm wrong because all the big bad privates are cheating and schools like Riverside, Dillard, Miami Central, Miami Northwestern, Miami Killian, DFB, Sandalwood, Cocoa, Lakeland, etc never get any transfers or recruit
Sureeeeeeeeee
Glad you included Cocoa and Lakeland. They are suburban. Lots of suburban schools can get transfers. This has nothing to do with being Metro. How many public Metro schools not in Miami have state titles lately? I bet the Suburban compared to them is very close. The issue is Miami and a hand full of private schools. Oh well I hope you enjoy your watered down B league. Just don't tell me how great it is because those teams suck.
-
Duval - Who in this county are you scared of other than LEE your Daddy. This county other than private schools usually underperforms.
Orange Another average county in terms of being elite. Good football not great. Apopka the best team and they get zero transfers
Seminole Seminole HS lately but no one else has a title
Hillsborough Armwood and Plant run is over. Average County
Pinellas Terrible football
Palm Beach
Broward
Miami-Dade
So lets just say South Florida and the private schools dominate. We punished 5 counties for about 5 schools

Other states have used sectional championships as the official name with the similar idea I believe
They could also go the CA route and allow open bowl season where winners of suburban and metro could choose to play after so some people are looking at this like it's the end of the world but they can always make changes but we can't just keep doing the same crap and expecting different results because what we had wasn't working and was NEVER going to fix blowouts nor the gap between metros and non metros which was the primary reason for those blowouts
Last year state champs
8 Suburban 35 Metro 7
7 Metro (private) 42 Suburban 14
6 Metro (private) 35 Suburban 29
5 Metro 49 Suburban 14
4 Metro (private) 21 Suburban 19
3 Metro (private) 21 Metro (Private) 0
2 Metro (private) 41 Metro (private) 23
It looks like Metro Private is the issue not Metro.

Lake county hasn't increased the supplement pay for coaches in 20 plus years.

The small classifications in general are way too small in terms of numbers and the moment they removed districts they should have went to 2 regions in those classes
You have regions in 1a with 9-12 total teams and with 6 making the playoffs you have regions where 66% of the teams make the playoffs
You guarantee teams with a losing record make it every year
So you are agreeing it sucks. Are they going to have Suburban 1 and Suburban 2 smaller than Suburban 3 and 4?
-
4 minutes ago, ColumbiaHighFan2017class said:
I've said several times I felt small classifications specifically 1a should be 2 regions not 4 especially with no districts
I would have 2 regions with 8 teams in 1a making playoffs (so 16 teams in the class instead of 24)
when they went to 8 classes and 1A - 4A with half the teams that's when it got really watered down

Only because they recruited from 3 counties and on top of that went out of their way to intentionally try to injure our players but it won't stop us from scheduling teams like TCA or Bolles
When's the last time your program took on a private school of that level but our program is a whiny bitch? Until your stepping up your competition who the hell are you to talk shit about what my school does because most the metro teams in Jacksonville are still afraid of TCA and Bolles but Columbia has never been afraid to take them on
Everyone on here thinks they are an expert but none of the clowns on here know a damn thing about 99% of the teams they talk about and no matter how much evidence is shown to prove it they gonna be right back next thread spreading the same bullshit again
All because you all think STA and AHP are the problems but don't have a problem with Miami Central or Northwestern getting 20 transfers a season because you all think it's a one time thing WHEN IT HAPPENS EVERY SEASON
Everyone accuses STA of recruiting when Dillard is getting as many transfers if not more than STA this year and nobody wants to talk about that
Dillard has taken more players from DFB than STA and Cardinal Gibbons combined but Dillard the only school nobody thinks is recruiting in that conversation
Every damn thread on this board is like talking through a brick wall
Oh and another thing my rankings are also better than anyone here considering I ranked all 8 state champs at highest in their classification in the preseason so I think I do a good job on evaluating the teams in this state but go ahead and keep believing everyone here's an expert but this board has tanked since guys like Broward and Zoe stopped posting because so many on here are either like Jesse where he jumps into conversations he knows nothing about or spread the same misinformation and lies in every thread and while debates used to be fun here now a days it's just embarrassing to even talk football here because nobody can even make the debates interesting
I got under your skin. LEE IS YOUR DADDY.
I don't have a team. I haven't had a team for 6 years. I'm a fan of Florida high school football or I was. It's hard to watch now and for the first time in I can't tell you how many years I didn't watch many playoff games or attend the state championships. I guess it's time for this old dawg to find a new sport.
