  1. Word on the street is Leak and a player had an altercation at practice. Not sure how Drop works, but does Edgewater try and get Girke back? That guy will die on the sidelines before he gives up coaching!
  2. So the powerhouses of 1A-4A will more than likely to move to 5A to guarantee games? 5A is about to be crazy if Bolles, Trinity Christian, Cocoa, Booker T. etc. all move up!
  3. I see what you a saying, but at the same time are those schools going to be able to find 10 games that they won't travel far distances to? being rural areas you are going to have to travel. Both Fort Meade and Frostproof are in Polk county with a number of high schools, which is easy. Like I was saying earlier, what about the teams that aren't in good size counties or in counties that the county doesn't force in county games. Also, what if a county forces you to play in county teams and yet all those teams are below average. It hurts your strength of schedule and you might lose out on a playoff spot? I just see too many question marks for 1A-4A. I need to see the pros and cons to 1A-4A, once again I really like the 5A-8A - eliminate dingleberry districts that a 1-9 runner up makes the playoffs.
  4. Why not do one or the other? 1A-4A will not have districts and 5A-8A will, so weeks 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 are almost blacked out for the 1A-4A teams to play 5A-8A teams. It's already hard enough to fill non-district games for successful programs, now they have to fill 10 games? Can someone please explain how this is good? How are the Trinity Christians, Bolles, Madison County, Trenton, Cocoa teams going to find 10 games? Travel to Miami? Pay for opponents to play them? I know certain counties force teams to play within county first before going outside, but that's great when you have 7 schools in a county, but most 1A-4A teams don't have that luxury. Not bashing the FHSAA, I really do like the 5A-8A format, but still gives them a district - automatic games, district championships, and a birth into the playoffs.

The way their schedule is set, they will probably be undefeated by the time they reach Dunnellon. Not sure what North Marion is returning from last year's team, but they could have a shot at the district.

1-9 in 2015.... between the KOC and week 1 have scored 100+ points. With a 3 team district I see them making the playoffs with ease, but is Brantley that good or have the OTC kids gone to Belleview?
  7. Citrus High School head coach Justin Taylor stepped down on Monday, any story behind it?
