  1. Here we have a prime example of how much the FHSAA has lost control. I've checked 3 different news sources and seen 3 different scores. Gonna be a long season
  2. Niceville "SHOULD NOT" have any problems. As others have stated, looooong ride, on top of one of the more hostile stadiums to play in. I don't know how many NMB fans are traveling to this game but from personal experience, the visiting team will need all the support it can get to overcome being damn near surrounded by the home team, LITTERALLY!
  3. When has Florida had a stable population that didn't depend on a boom of some kind or another? Outside of small towns or well established cities that have been around for a long time, a large percentage of the state is fairly new (so to speak). Hell, the population has tripled since the 70's alone. That's a major contributing factor in the lack of community support around the state (with a few exceptions). Florida's migratory pattern is extremely transient in nature. Even with all the growth, what also has to be factored in is how many people leave the state.
  4. Still young humans my friend, but human nonetheless and prone to trash talk. Every behavior is learned. We have a few adults on this board that fall into that category.
  5. That's a very good question. The season is here and that is noticeably missing, lol.
  6. Long overdue! I would love to see Pinellas bring home some hardware.
  7. Confused because Madison is the measuring stick
  8. These 2022 rankings are as useful as a 2021 almanac.
  9. You might as well "wish upon a star" in this thread
  10. Jesse is posting so he's not on house arrest or anything. Before, it was "who's that peaking in my window, POW".
  11. I don't speak for anyone else but myself but go ahead and post. That's my vote!
  12. Central Polk Parkway coming. What you charging?
  13. He was half right with LAKE.
  14. Football and geography... Shiiiiiiiit Great post Columbia.
  15. Shhhhhh. You know that question was meant for someone else. Just sit back and watch the show
  16. The numbers make sense. A half million+ in population is no small feat.
  17. Remember, there was a metro representation that voted IN FAVOR of the split. Blame everyone. The ONLY county in the metro division that Polk is larger than is Seminole. Then again, there are several counties larger than Seminole: Lee Polk Brevard Volusia Pasco Seminole In all honesty when the metro/suburban plan was announced (based on population initially), I thought the population cutoff would've been 500K.
  18. I thought you knew I was more than a handsome face. Rattlers have to EARN our degrees!
  19. Well it will NEVER happen.
  20. I can agree with that. This plan automatically robs both Metro/Suburban schools to prove it on the field and that's not right no matter how you slice it.
  21. Believe it or not, I could see larger programs complaining as well because it greatly decreases their chances at a title. There are small schools that thrive on taking on larger programs and would welcome the opportunity to prove it on the field. Having 1 class, the Florida elite will rise to the top and it's not impossible. I've been working out the numbers and putting together a map with a breakdown of how the plan could work. I'll provide details later on in the week. Again, it would not be the popular choice but certainly the right one (in my opinion). Any player and coach would know that no matter if their team went the distance or not, they played the best and that adds value and proves once and for all that Florida is the nationwide leader in competitiveness.
  22. Here's the ultimate question. Why? I ask because there is no reason why Florida could not set the tone for the nation and have 1 class. That's leaves no doubt as to who is the best. Is the best of the best coming out of Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, Orange, Duval, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Leon or any other county that can run the gauntlet and claim it all? However, I don't have pipe dreams of that ever happening but it's not because it's not doable, but it decreases the opportunities for a title and would be extremely unpopular.
  23. It depends on your perspective as the same could be said of Metro Title. It's only made up of 8 of 67 counties and one of which is routinely beaten down by suburban programs.
