How did Cocoa do against Glades Central? I heard it was a pretty good game.

Boynton has some athletes. But they looked really young. They only dressed maybe 23 players. Of course Pahokee helped them out by playing uninspired and making thier usual share of turnovers.

I love when public schools give private schools that work! Congrats to MC! That Central/Carol City game is gonna be really good.

Like I said, Madison County will have their hands full with Columbia Friday night. And besides playing Wakulla, Madison’s schedule is a little “suspect “.

I know what you meant, it just didn’t sound right. I think you’re referring to extremely athletic teams. But you’re right, Vero has always had problems with Pahokee because of that. Vero’s qb is good though. It should make for an interesting matchup. This game will help both teams later on in post season.

Last year Pahokee had not played/practiced in about 2 weeks because of Hurricane Irma, leading to that game . Vero’s Dixson was too much. They don’t have him this year.

Theoretically, Vero should put 40 points up. They are a 8A school playing a 1A school. But I'm going to predict that this game will not be close. Pahokee will win big! Pahokee has too many athletes. Vero has always had problems with Pahokee. And if you think this is the same Pahokee team that lost a close game to 8A Atlantic. You're gonna be in for a lil surprise.

Pahokee looked impressive against a very good 8A football team. Looking forward to the Vero,Cocoa, and pb gardens games. It should get interesting when the starting qb comes back.

Actually Pahokee met Atlantic in a kickoff classic in Delray Beach in 2015. Atlantic won 7-0. But that was after 3 Pahokee TD'S were called back due to penalties. Atlantic went deep into the 8A playoffs and lost to Flannigan that year. Pahokee lost to Dixie County a few days before their coach was dismissed. Friday should be a good one, but only if Pahokee is healthy.

One more thing to add.... Madison County, your team didn't exactly "destroy" Pahokee. You won the game because your team/scheme was better that night. Pahokee couldn't stop the run. Hell, to be honest...Pahokee couldn't stop the run all year (Frostproof) but they had enough athletes to get away with it. Madison (And Glades Central) were able to match them athletically. But that same game with last years Pahokee QB would have been different. And with a pocket passing QB, Blounstown could do some damage.

Madison is way too much for any 1A school this year. The 22 seniors on that team makes a difference. If Blountstown can pass the ball, they can keep it close. Forget running the ball against Madison.

Heck of a game. Madison was the better team tonight! These two teams will meet again. It sucks that both teams are in the same south bracket. Whoever wins the Baker/Blounstown game will have their hands full.

That's interesting... Newberry was Pahokee's hardest game/toughest opponent in the playoffs last year.

Thanks for the correction! That may have been the only time all year that he picked Pahokee though. He had Treanton, Newberry, and Madison all winning big.

That's the funny thing about it. They count Pahokee out every year. It's almost like Pahokee doesn't even exist. I think Pinko has them losing by 20 to Madison. That same Pinko picked Madison to beat Pahokee last year, and he picked Baker to slaughter Pahokee last year also.

All I saw was that the Cowboys had a problem stopping the run. Pahokee is better at running the ball this year. Last year they were a passing team. Nevertheless it should be epic! Madison always comes ready, and Boot Hill is a tough place. But Pahokee has played at Vero, Cocoa, Park Vista, and Glades Central this year. Good luck to both teams! Let's get ready to rumble!

The exact same thing I heard last year and Pahokee dominated them. Pahokee ran the ball when and where they wanted to on Madison. Pahokee's tough schedule will benefit them.

I actually believe that. With the exception of that cocoa game, Pahokee's performance depends on their opponent. They looked great beating 8A Park Vista, PB gardens, Seminole Ridge. Even in the lost to Vero, they were competitive. But watching them play Williston and Frostproof puzzled me. I'm just wondering which team is going to show up at Boot Hill in Madison?

I agree. You never know which Pahokee team is gonna show up. I wasn't impressed at all watching them tonight. Didn't look like the same team that beat Glades Central.
