The two offensive styles should make for an interesting matchup. Cocoa is a great running team, but that plays to Pahokee's defensive strength. Pahokee has kinda like a bend but don't break mentality defensively against the run. A team will get a lot of rushing yards but few TD's (Vero's RB was an example). Pahokee's team speed on defense makes it hard to run the ball all night. Newbery, Madison, and Trenton, all found that out last year.
I do see Cocoa winning this game, only because PK's defense is young (many sophomores). But it will be very close. Maybe even an overtime game?

Pahokee is a real team. Probably better than 8 others on Cocoa's schedule. Only one's I see as being equal or maybe better are Viera and Trinity C Jax. Both have legit defenses.

The secondary is still an issue (which was expected coming into the season), because of your and inexperience (of the 6 dB's, only 1 played varsity last year). The other DB, the coaches won't play him on defense because he's the QB (the backup got hurt and is out). 
To the coaches credit, they give all the kids an opportunity to prove themselves every game. Its just inconsistency from game to game (series to series). The DB coaches are PK grads and played (started) d1 football (Pitt & NC State). 
The play-side slant, and backside drag routes have given them hell these last 2 games (Gardens and Seminole Ridge).

There has to be some benifit for playing a tough schedule. A team should be rewarded for that, not punished. Especially if they were competitive in the loss. The Pahokee/Vero game was a close game until the end. I think Pahokee was scheduled to play at least six 7A/8A schools this year. That's tough for any 1A school.

Vero jumped out quick on Pahokee. Vero was much bigger and had way more depth (8A vs 1A). But that game was close until the end. I also see Vero going very deep into the 8A playoffs.
If Pahokee had last years QB...this year's PK team is better than last. Pahokee's QB play is inconsistent. If that kid (Pahokee's QB) get's consistent, Pahokee will have no problem repeating last years success.

Im from Vero and wont believe it until they do we host three rounds so we'll see

Pahokee's top interior d-lineman didn't play because he hurt his leg riding a dirt bike over the course of the Irma break. The kid had 16 tackles and 4 sacks in the state game last year. Even though they have beaten Boynton Beach and Gardens, his presence has been missed.

No, Vero would not be considered an upset. If Refs are always their to save them, why would I respect them? Pahokee vs Seminole Ridge was the very 1st game of the season with a new staff. But, a win is a win. You failed to mention that Boca was undefeated when they matched up with Pahokee. You also failed to mention that a storm was in the area that week and Pahokee did not get 1 field practice that entire week. Let alone the game being delayed because of a thunderstorm.
Is it fair to say that Vero as strong as those? On paper, yes. No games have been played yet.
IF Pahokee would have traveled to play Broward teams, they would have got their clocks cleaned you say? Its easy to use IF when it didn't happen. But, like us all, you are entitled to your opinion.
Your statement about the 2015 Atlantic team is yet another one of your opinions in which I damn sure disagree. But, like I said, you love the word "If."
Show me where I stated that GC played Vero? And I stand by my statement, I don't consider neither team an upset bid. 
Yes, American Heritage has beaten GC 5 straight times. I can't argue that. But, when your program is built on transfers, you better win. 

In the old days, when Pahokee was one of the top teams in Florida and was ranked nationwide, Miami Central, MNW, and AHP would have thought long and hard before scheduling them. They were a team that would play, and probably defeat, anyone. Having played Pahokee in three championship games, I doubt that they will ever be that team again. They are a very good team right now. But, they will never again be that star studded super team of years ago. You just don't have the same circumstances in the Muck anymore. I think it is also the reason that Glades Central is not the same team as in those glory years.

Pahokee's schedule is still brutal for a 1A school.   I will be extremely impressed if they win 7 on that schedule.  If they upset Atlantic, Vero Beach or Cocoa I will also be impressed.  If they win 2 of those 3, I'll take my crow with gravy please.

Pahokee tried to schedule Miami Northwestern a few years back, but they wouldn't take the game. They were working on a game with STA, but I don't know how far (or serious) the discussions got, so it fell through. There was a rumored OOS game with a team from New Orleans this year, being set up by Pahokee alum, Ricky Jackson, but I don't know what happened.
With a student body around 400, the Cocoa and GC games are the only ones that stand out. Vero, only because you have to deal with the refs (especially since they're supposed to be good). They have a lot of depth, and only a few kids will play both ways (mainly lineman).
Oxbridge has been barking up that Dwyer tree, but for some reason Dwyer won't answer the call.

I watched BrowardHandicapper basically shyt on Pahokee all of last year..Lol.
No one gave Pahokee a chance against any team week to week in 2016. I had a chance to watch them dominate a very big (and weak) Lake Worth team in the spring. But they (PK) don't appear to be as explosive offensively as last year. But that could all change with good QB play. At some point we have to give credit to the coaches at Pahokee. They do a great job at getting those kids prepared. I wouldn't count them out against any team on their schedule this year.

Just look at the replay of the game on TV. Baker did have a decent turn out. But they had nowhere near close to 1,000 fans. That was a long trip for them.
 
Pahokee and Glades Central fans always travel. That game could have been at Baker and Pahokee still would have had at least 1,000 fans.

What's crazy, is that it was a good, clean game. I guess he needed a reason to justify the loss.
