7 classes still too many. just separate the private schools and call it a day…
Need to get rid of Rural and place them in there respective classifications but have it set up to where their districts are the teams they normally played while in 1R and if they don't want that then they can go independent

It's gonna take a Dade team to beat STA in the open division next year
It really won't. STA is beatable. Multiple could've beat them this season. Homestead could've tied the game if they would've kicked a fg. Who knows maybe STA improves next season and adds more key pieces and depth

Thank you, Keem. Much appreciated. They don't get much closer.
That's for sure and you're very welcome.

If it's anything like the "crowds" I've seen in the videos of the games played so far, the answer is "no."
They announced 3500 attended the game. Bradford brought all of Starke.

Nice job. I thought it would be a higher scoring game. Fortunately (for me), the tie-breaker won't come into play.
Right. 4M is the deciding factor. Too bad I didn't pick Cardinal Mooney lol

2 points off on the 1R total points

This document is a draft of proposed revisions to the FHSAA Administrative Policies, which govern its athletic programs. I would suspect this has been vetted already and will be voted on at this meeting. The Reader's Digest version for those who don't want to wade through the document.
- 8 total classifications (1A-7A + Rural); assigned by student population.
- Regular season district games not required.
- Teams can schedule 8 games through Week 9.
- After Week 9, the 4 highest ranked teams in each district by computer rankings enter a district tournament. Two district semifinal games played in Week 10; winners play in Week 11 for district championship; losers of district semifinal games play in Week 11.
- All other teams not in district tournament may schedule games in Week 10 and Week 11.
- At the conclusion of the district tournaments, the 8 highest ranked teams by the computer rankings will be placed in the Open Division.
- 4 district champions and 4 at-large teams by the computer rankings qualify in each region.
Again, this is a draft proposal and subject to change.
I kinda like this idea. Other than the fact they should just scrap rural and put those teams in 1A and 2A according to their enrollment since there's no required district games.
For the bigger districts, just have the district tournament at a neutral site.

How do you fix it? You stop high school teams from recruiting. Most of the top football teams have a high rate of transfers in. IMG at least admits that they are a school that recruits the best for all sports. As a result of that they are not eligible for the playoffs and are not really considered a standard high school. With recruiting any HS team can become an artificial powerhouse without ever having much more than a few token players from the district that they are in. HS sports have been turned into mini NFL teams with families that come out to see their son do not much more than bench time or they don't come out at all because he has not even joined the team. Sad state of affairs where it's become more important to pad the egos of a few narcissistic teenagers and their coaches than to build character in all players that have joined the team or the one's that could have joined the team.
Technically IMG is eligible for the playoffs now

The college playoffs should have 8 teams.
I agree atleast a minimum of 6 with the top 2 having a bye

I know one year is different from the next. But remember how last years Semi went down. Cocoa went up 14 in the first half, Bradford made a run back at Cocoa. Cocoa did win, but it wasn't a running clock game. I'm still picking Cocoa to win, but Bradford shouldn't be overlooked.
Not overlooking them but they play into Cocoa's strength this season. They don't pass as much but they still have a couple athletes

Does Bradford have what it takes to make it a decent game ?
It'll be a game for about the first quarter and a half. Cocoa will make adjustments and open it up. Offense may make a couple mistakes early. The defense will shutdown any run attempts. Bradford may take some wrinkles from the Booker game to throw it out of run packages when Cocoa starts getting overly aggressive when not respecting the pass completely

I went with First Baptist despite a fairly strong feeling that OTC was going to win. Had I not done that, I would be in the finals despite my poor seeding.
But it was fun. Good luck to both @KeemD321 and @Perspective. May the best man win!
I went with them too

Right. There so many great games this round and a couple major upsets

You hear that Cocoa? Maybe schedule a game next year.
Funny thing is Cocoa had Chaminade on their schedule in 2020 before they were forced to change their schedule to an all county schedule.

Nice analysis KeemD, I think you're spot on. Shout out to the young QB Grubbs. What potential, and he still has two more years of high school ball.
Hopefully this rumored battle of the 2026 QBs happened next season with Noah Grubbs vs Brady Hart

I thought this was the year Lake Mary went to the state championship game. I have no idea how they got beat so bad. Anyone at the game have some more details. How did they not score more point?
I'm not sure what happened but after actually looking into the Mandarin game in the regular season and Mainland game. I had a strong feeling that Mandarin would win. When they played in the regular season they held Noah Grubbs to his lowest output but their defense and running backs stepped up in a major way. I just felt that they would keep him contained again and wouldn't make the mistakes they made the first go around. Plus alot of area coaches picked up on some of his tells when it comes to him being pressured. That came from Mainland and a possible opponent for next season

All opinion wouldn't know if that playoff game would happen unless there was an open division due to them being in different classifications.
