You are wrong. Cite all the exceptions you like bigger schools are on the whole better than smaller Scholes with the same record.

Why the hell not I promise you a win at Columbia is harder for a 6a school than a win against baker. A fair system would reflect that. But guys thinking like you is what's really wrong. You don't want a system that reflects the value systematically and objectively. You want to preserve this match up or that. Let me tell you I don't care if Madison/suwanee ever plays Columbia again and trying to save those games should not influence the playoff structure in any way. Look a 0-10 team making the playoffs or BTW not making the playoffs is not the problem with Florida hs football. The transfer deal is the problem. No one wants to address it but it is killing hs football.

You know the thing I find frustrating is the fhsaa ignores it's own rules. There were games not played and the actual rules relating to those games simply were not followed. This effected seeding in one case I am aware of. In the case I am aware of the actions of two different rivals of a team decided the seeding of their rival. These are bitter rivals and I am telling you the schools knew what they were doing and knew the effect.

Pine forest has the horses but seem to find ways to lose. Escambia is the same story. Gb has lost its qb for the season with an acl, but they have a great back and can really pound the rock. The question with them is can the stop teams from scoring. We will see this week when they go to Navarre. Crestview might be in a must when situation with Niceville this week. I think Thompson beats crestview and ending on two losses might have them right on the bubble. We will see if Niceville is for real over the nest two weeks when they have crestwiew and then navarre. Pace should get in and they have a great running game but can't stop anybody from scoring.

You know I am not impartial but I think Navarre is the best team. But the great thing is we control our fate, just win and everything will take care of itself.

The playoffs will separate them just fine. The competition in the panhandle is actually better than it has been for a while.

You know someday the north is going to win in the final. As for the panhandle teams I suspect you know little to nothing about any of them.

Look the points for beating a 8a in my system are not bonus points it is a value assigned to beating a 8a school. Which is harder than beating a 1a school. The points for your opponent's wins are bonus points for playing successful teams. If you beat a 1a school with 9 wins you get 18 points no matter who you are. If you beat a 0 win 1a school it is worth 9 points. My system rewards winning against teams that win primarily and also recognizes winning against higher classifications is harder on average. If your wins are against terrible big schools you are not going to come out ahead. You will need your opponents to win and most importantly you will need to win. While still recognizing a loss to a tough opponent. See the point system was not presented to ensure you guys play anyone. It was suppose to prevent terrible teams from getting in over excellent teams from a loaded district and to fairly seed the bracket. I think it sucks at both. It is funny that a lot of the folks that wanted it don't want it to actually reflect what happens on the field. If you would have beaten Tca that win should have more value than your win against MC. That simply represents what actually happened on the field.

You are missing the objective. Madison is a good program in the system I proposed a win against them would be worth roughly a win against a 4 win 7a school. If you don't see that as fair I can't help you. We should not design a system that works to preserve a game that matches a 1a public school and a 7a public school. Madison is way better than all but a few 1a schools. But saying Nicevilles win against the 2a state champ and Navarre win against PF are of equal value is crazy talk. Remember what happened to the last state title small private school from down south that visited Navarre. Look it up. Sure rarely a team playing up can compete even win against a big school, but that is not the reality week in and week out. Baker has a great 1a program do you really want to see a Navarre/escambia/Niceville baker matchup. Right now a win against Baker has more value than a win against Crestview to Navarre. Think about that and what you are protecting.

The point system is really flawed. It does not take into account classification at all. The tier break points are are dumb. I think a win against a 8a school should be worth more than a win against a 1a school. I think something like this might better: Class Win loss 8a 16 8 7a 15 7.5 6a 14 7 5a 13 6.5 4a 12 6 3a 11 5.5 2a 10 5 1a 9 4.5 If you win you get 1 point for each opponent win and .5 for each opponent win if you lose. The current system is failing. Look at 6a region 1 and explain how the system reflects any sort of on the field reality.

The problem is evident if you study a map.

We are in a very similar situation. But to not understand the rules currently are not in our favor is not being realistic.

I know you have, now you will get to play the urban publics operating like the privates except tuition is free. The wheels are already in motion all over the state. It is a disaster for HS football.

No they did not beat anyone this year. It is insult to the teams that did it right to say otherwise. The changes recently to the rules are a huge step in the wrong direction and unless they are fixed the blowback will be huge.
