And how many nationally ranked teams are there in Florida? And teams don’t get nationally ranked playing I ranked scrubs from the state the are in for the most part...and to be honest most school districts can’t afford to send a football team to another state to play a football game

I literally felt like the officials called the game like they were tight or a younger crew...just not the kind of officiating I’m used too...and I’m one that doesn’t complain about refs....for what they are paid per game god bless em...I wouldn’t take the criticism regardless of the outcomes

I disagree about Vero....RECENTLY they’ve scheduled harder quality opponents...but with exception of Venice and Oscar Smith we’ve always played them at home...but at least in past 2-3 years we are getting better

I wanted to say how impressive the Bucks were last night. Vero has been exiting the 2nd or 3rd round for years, but I’ve always felt they were in the game and if a play or two had gone their way, it could have been different.
Last night this was not the case, you guys were simply on another level and Vero struggled just to avoid a running clock. Best of next week against Columbus and moving forward.

I had a problem with the 2nd “ghost punch” in consecutive weeks that kicked out a player...calls that big need to only be called if there is no doubt that a punch was thrown not a “I think”....also I didn’t agree with targeting call were he clearly led with shoulder and a bunch of no calls on holding etc etc not called....it seemed the refs were somehow afraid they were gonna somehow lose control of the game and called it tighter than I think either team would have liked

I have to say truthfully that’s the most talented team I’ve seen in person in some time...I’m not saying there a IMG or STA but best public high school I’ve seen...no disrespect to Chaminade or even Venice but DB is on a whole other level! Dominant O-line and D-Line, QB who can throw the ball and limited mistakes, and a running back that’s a beast! My nine year old son was at the game and as there warming up looked up at me and said Veros gonna get smashed dad! Guess I should’ve listened to him before the game...Still a very good season for Vero who came a long way this year from spring game to postseason! And a lot of Juniors on this team...just need to reload for next year...good luck DB I would be surprised if they didn’t win 8A

Depends if FHSAA concurs he threw a punch he’s out for the entire playoffs! Small chance since the game was filmed that cameras caught the incident and can provide clear proof that a punch was not thrown!

Great game! Lived up to the hype and played in front of a packed house at the citrus bowl! Vero defense stepped up big time in the second half holding TC to there lowest point total of the season...on to Vero vs Deerfield Beach

Comparing out of state matchups I believe it is.....I find watching the middle of the road consistency teams and seeing how they do can be an indication as well....most of Veros opponents have had DOWN seasons comparative to there norm it seems...and the recruiting seems to be down a bit on 4-5 star talent this year. Maybe I’m wrong but from the sample size ive seen thats my opinion

biggest difference for Vero this year, first time during coach J years, Veros jelling at the right time and playing there best football down the stretch...usually the season starts with us killing teams with the spead and as the season progresses other teams close the gap...not this year! I believe this may be helped by what I think is a down year for Florida football statewide!

Going to be an amazing game at the Citrus Bowl Friday nite! Still amazes me that TC wing T is so explosive considering all the teams in Florida went to spreads for the most part

I’m confused on your point.....Vero beat TC at TC....so what does TC winning have anything to do with Vero...it’s the best the offense has looked all year by a lot! I like Vero at home against TC....Deerfield Beach on the other hand scares me

The truth is Vero doesn’t have the athletes or any type of feeder program up this way...Vero isn’t talented enough top to bottom to win an 8a state championship unless an immense amount of luck happened! The truth is they are a consistently good program just not a top tier program...I’m not delusional when it comes to Vero but I don’t think getting smashed by STA or IMG or even some of the elite Dade programs is going to help the program get any better!
