That’s why I prefer the wing t as Bolles ran it. The best high school offensive system I’ve seen because of two things: (1) incredible use of trap (2) an ability to pass and keep defenses honest. Though I really liked the offense Apopka ran when Darlington’s son was the QB.

There are some dumb SOB’s who think those offenses don’t work and should be left in the past. A real shame that they can’t appreciate a great running attack.

I’d love to make the drive out but I’m coaching middle school football in the Jacksonville area (got talked into it by my neighbor for his son) and I’ve committed to going with them to the BT vs Columbus game.

I’m excited to see them vs Bolles next week

The field is always quite rough there. I wonder if BT will play Weatherly at QB or what they’ll do.

I, too, am bothered by the fact that kids are being left behind in underperforming schools. The current open enrollment system is not the fix for it nor do I have the answer haha I just am frustrated with our educational system as a whole.

The vouchers are a complete joke. I’m paying taxes to pay for a kid to go to our public school and then use more of my taxes for that kid to instead go to a private school…? That makes no sense.

And any public to private move should be a year without extracurriculars. That’s an easy way to stop schools from getting 40+ transfers in 3 years.

Obviously if you pick up and have a legal move, then it’s a different situation.

This is exactly how it should be. Allow students to transfer but no extracurricular activities for a year.

Love when county AD’s do things like that. Take away opportunities that the kids have earned (with hard work, fundraising, and previous success) and potential lifelong memories so that they can feel powerful. Total joke. Thankfully the county AD’s here in NEFL are nowhere near as powerful as many in Central Florida are.

Ponte Vedra should be a good team this year. They’ve got some talent and a proven coach has been hired. Creekside should be solid but the loss of the QB is tough and they’re in a tough district. I haven’t heard much about St Augustine or Nease but I expect St Augustine to be pretty good.

I’m not going to hate on the kid for doing so but the fact that that is allowed is ridiculous.

He has tough competition at Lee for the starting spot as well. It just doesn’t make sense

I’m picking BT to win the district with either Creekside or Mandarin getting second. Oakleaf and Sandalwood are teams that I expect to be down.

I think Bolles, Riverside, and TCA will be the toughest games. Oakleaf lost a lot of kids.

They’ve got some playmakers and good talent overall but they’re down compared to the Wiley years. They will not beat Columbia unless Columbia is way down or they’ve loaded up on transfers that I haven’t heard about.

No they don’t, normally kids come in middle school and stay (testament to the culture Dorminey has built). They will have a lot of talent on offense I’d love to see TCA back in 4 or 5A
