IMPORTANT TO NOTE- Dr.Phillips had a Kickoff classic game last Friday vs Boone Where They Won 31-7. DILLARDs coaching staff elected NOT to have a Kickoff classic this year for the first time in 4 decades. They wanted to solely focus on their week 1 opponent in Dr Phillips. How’s that gonna help or hurt Dillard in week 1 is yet to be seen, being that KOC are usually used to get out the kinks, nervousness & mistakes without it going on your record if you were to lose, where as in starting week 1 everything counts. DR PHILLIPS- the panthers of Orlando went (9-1) in the regular season & (12-2) overall including the post season losing a rematch game against the lake Mary rams at lake Mary. even tho the panthers graduated a lot of studs they are expected to be just as good if not better this year and will be looking to make a huge statement come this Friday. Hearing from their head coach he knows that the Dillard panthers are extremely fast and physical and their biggest key to get this road win is to keep our skill guys in front of them and not get in a foot race. DILLARD PANTHERS- The Dillard panthers went (8-2) last year including playing 3 games in 5 days to end the season in regards to two different hurricane scares early in the season. the Panthers of Dillard high school went (9-3) overall. Including a 24 point road playoff win vs a previous undefeated John Carroll Catholic team. Round 2- although they gave nationally ranked American heritage their toughest playoff game of the season the Dillard panthers season ended at the hand of the American heritage 24-14. The Dillard panthers come into the 2025 season with a very deep team. They have a 4* star qb that transferred in from plantation & another 4* C/2029 qb that transferred in from tru north. Dillard has Crazy speed up and down the roster including 4* WR Anthony Jennings Who we Call “SPEEDY” not only does he run track but he placed in 2nd place in the entire state of Florida. Dillard also has a Star Studded “RB” room where 2-3 different guys can come in and take it 60 yards for a TD. Our O Line & D Line is NOT the biggest, but they are PHYSICAL & VERY fast. Which is what I think will work greatly in Dillards favor. PREDICTION- this Will be The First Ever Matchup Between these two Football programs so the familiarity with each other will be ZERO. So there’s gonna be a lot of in game adjustments between both coaching staffs. So the team that can punch the other team in the most first and make the least amount of mistakes is who I believe will win. I have DILLARD winning this one At Home, heavy recruits in attendance, televised game, New Turf Field, 8:00pm start, room only crowd, all the makes for a Home team victory. from a person that watched this game from start to finish. Not only am I shocked but I’m more so disappointed in Lakeland. yes this is a KOC & it don’t count toward the record. But it might as well have. You can’t tell me both coaching staffs & players didn’t wanna win this game badly not only for bragging rights but for their city. the lack of discipline and fight I saw from Lakeland was borderline mind blowing. I know castle is no longer there but DAM! mistake after mistake after mistake, I’ve never said this about a Lakeland squad and I don’t watch their games often but they looked ill prepared, despite all the back and forth between both teams & their fans. shout out to the west they went in stood 10 toes down and represented south fl they way they should have. For this to be the MOST HYPED game of the treasure coast classics, it was the most lopsided & least entertaining. 1 team looked as if they belonged and the other team was just there. Sad showing all the way around.

Last year MNW received 28 transfers in 2 months This year they received 31 so far. I love today and truly believe he’s for the kids. But how do you think MNW became so good over night? , all those transfers not from the bulls district , hell a few of them are from broward county. so like most schools who recruit , of course the coaches care about the kids safety therefore getting them Ubers or picking them up. But we’re not gonna act like it’s not also to keep said high prospects on their team to also give them a much better chance to go all the way. This has been going on for years. Teddy fault is that he made it known what he’s doing without blatantly saying “in order to keep my current and future high profile prospects, i have to keep them happy and provided for” , that’s no difference then what TFA was penalized for. but because they’re a private school it was frowned upon. Northwestern was also investigated going into the playoffs last year for ineligible players. Central had to forfeit their season twice in 5 years because of “slick and sneaky behavior”

The question i have is & im being serious when I ask this ; what is the difference between northwestern & the first academy. because the first academy got hit with one of the harshest punishments ive seen recently for doing basically the same thing. Paying for uber rides & other incentives to the players in need & for a lot of the transfers that transferred to TFA but didn’t have transportation to & from. & there was NO out cry. Matter fact everyone said TFA got what they deserved. But in MNW case it’s all hell broke loose. Is it because who the head coach is ? Or is it because teddy explained what all the money he spent was for ? …….

If we keepin it real. Before last year northwestern was known by name, and last history but, their product on the field was avg at best. Their last title was in 2019 & after that they had a 1 or 2 4-6 or 5-5 seasons after. & most will say they only won the championship last year because outside of central who had to forfeit 3A and the teams that’s in it is HORRENDOUS. teddy becoming the head coach of the west single handily had transfers legal and illegal coming in left and right because he’s a former/active nfl player & lets face it in 2025 the kids love to follow the hype. having a face like teddy on the sidelines automatically guarantee that entire team all types of connects, endorsements, exposure & etc.

If it’s for something reasonable like a Gatorade and water donation & they reach out to the community of course I will help. it’s all within reason tho. 14,000 for a 3 day gym stay is unreasonable. 2,000 a week for food. Me & a few alumni would just get together and cook.

And that’s where I’m at with it. I’m sure teddy heart is in the right place. But if we’re gonna keep it real, between last year and this upcoming year MNW has received well over 50 transfers a lot of them that are from different counties and stay nowhere near MNW. some of them maybe because of changing environments for a better life etc etc, but it’s also 2025 and lot of the transfers was to follow the hype train. while the uber rides can be a touchy subject depending on the kids situation, he also mentioned he needed thousands in donation for recovery, I get it he went pro and a lot of these assets he had in the league, but a lot of what he’s asking for isn’t even a high school requirement. when I played ball out recovery was a ice bath lol. He then went on to say 4,000 a week for food ? , what are they eating lobster. then he said for the three day gym stay he had to front 14,000 dollars for the kids. 14,000 to sleep in the gym for 3 days for what I’m assuming is for team building, is still insane.

Soul bowl this year is going to be at key. But another must see game will be homecoming Miramar at Dillard. Huge crosstown rival game with the football teams & the bands. dillard is also known for having the biggest homecoming tailgate for a high school which starts with the homecoming parade, which leads back to the school and from then it’s a all out family reunion with over 60 tenants dating all the way back to class of 1940.

Mane!! I dam near cried driving by the stadium today, talk about massive overhaul. These home games this upcoming season is about to be INSANE! , and don’t let us host some playoff games. Man oh man. the blue end zones is gonna be LIT, even tho they are still working on the kinks and haven’t put the Words on each end zone yet. Plus the new score board still have to be put up. it’s still surprising as hell how fast their moving. Just 4 weeks ago I rode by and the field was nothing but dirt lol.

Dr.philips , is a 50-50 matchup if I’m gonna be honest. First time opponent, first game of the season. Rust, nerves, so many different factors that can take place. Miramar - seems like we play this dam team every year lmao sheessh. I think we’re rivals at this point. Every game is close and down to the wire, and the band battles be fire lol. nonetheless over the past 6 years, Dillard is (6-0) vs Miramar. Beating them 6 consecutive years. With this year being Not only At Dillard on the new field, but it’s also homecoming. I would be very shocked if Dillard lost that. ely- soul bowl will always be soul bowl. Records don’t mean a dam thing, and this year we go to ely. So we will see who take it this year.

Didn’t even know he left I know they lost a couple players to McArthur and 2 WRs to monarch, but it’s crazy tho because I’ve been hearing all around from different sources Ely is gonna be in a rebuild this year. I wouldn’t go that far. Only because I believe in our coaching staff. We had this same schedule last year, lost our starting Qb in week 7 & had to lean on our sophomore 3rd string qb , which led us to a first round playoff victory over previously unbeaten John caroll catholic , and then led us to a 14-0 halftime lead on the road vs then #30 in the nation American heritage. Ultimately losing 24-14. When it comes to Dillard this year, this year is about building on last years run/success. There’s no need to line the schedule up with national ranked opponents, because as of right now Dillard isn’t a nationally ranked program. We lost a few pieces in the trenches to MacArthur, and 2 skilled players to plantation. in return we did receive a 4* prospect Qb from tru north and a few other skilled players, but we have to see how all of that jells in the regular season. Anything short of a 2nd round appearance in the playoffs will be a huge step back. A regional final appearance/Win would be a Huge Step forward.

7-3 would be a huge disappointment. At worst 8-2, dare I say 9-1. Anything else would be a problem for me lol.
