For those not aware, the FHSAA Board of Directors is meeting on November 2-3, and will be deciding on the football classification model for next year.  The proposal before them reduces classifications to six (1A-5A + Rural).  Teams will still be placed in districts, but district play will not be required.  Teams will play 8 games through Week 9, and then the four highest rated teams will be placed into the district tournament to determine the district champion.  The four district champions and four highest rated at-large teams will enter the regional bracket.  So big changes could be coming in 2026, if the Board of Directors votes for this proposal.

    Oh wow really

  2. My panthers hit the road Thursday night for their final game of the regular season as they try to become just the second dillard team in dillard history to go (10-0) in the regular season.

last time it happened was 2019. The panthers ended up finishing (12-1) that year losing in round 3 to national ranked miami central.

According to the latest playoff seeding projections in 4A, if the playoffs started this week it would be....

#1 Archbishop McCarthy Hosting #8 Hialeah

#2American heritage hosting #7 plantation in a rematch of district foes.

#3 Dillard hosting #6 John Carroll Catholic in a rematch of last year 1st round matchup where dillard traveled to ft pierce as a district champion and emded the rams perfect regular season.

#4 Jensen beach would host #5 Miami norland.

As far as seedings a few of these teams played their final regular season game last week (Heritage, norland) so despite what happens this week alot of these teams are locked in their spots.

Archbishop is locked in at #1. Heritage is locked in at 2. Dillard is locked in at 3. Jensen beach is locked in at 4. Norland locked in at 5. Plantation locked in at 7.

As for dillard everything is in front of us, 4A is as wide open as ever. So we just have to take it one week at a time and see where we end up at the end.

16 this week. Maybe there will be some shakeup at the top. Wondering if we should allow the regular season champ decide how the playoffs are ran, or stick with the March madness style for the top 8 posters.

I saw Boynton Beach play in week 3 in a home loss to Santaluces 9-7.  That being said it was a month and half ago.  I’ll tell you what I observed.  Their defense played tough.  They made things difficult for the Santaluces running back that received some pub earlier in the year.  It was obvious he was public enemy #1. He was not going to beat them. Offense was not anything to write home about.  They did have a couple of receivers that were quick and got open.  The problem was the QB was inaccurate for much of the night.

My guess is if the Panthers put 17 points on the board the victory will be assured.

If we can't put up 17 points ban us from post season play this year and I mean that lol

Dillard, my thing for you, where was all this attention when we beat Bishop Verot for the district title? As soon as we lose, we headline the website? It seems like you waited for us to lose. It's all good. My defense is still playing well. It reminds me of when we played your Panthers around 2009 and got lucky. We committed about 6 turnovers and lost by like 3 or 4 ...... we still were a good team. Bad games happen, we gotta respond....

We went to the state that year, too, if I'm not mistaken

Wait huh ? Family I've been rooting for glades central all year, when yall beat bishop verot I was the first to congratulate yall on here on a great game ask @muckboy561. I would never pray on yall down fall. Was this a shocking lost? Hell yea but nothing i was rooting for

  6. Final central 34 miami southride 28.

Central losing this game wouldbr have done anything being that 3A is so putrid the west or central is winning 3a barring catastrophic circumstances.

As for southridge this game was more about them, proving if their for real. You come in as underdogs you go up 20-0 2nd qt. Then you allow 13 points in 2 min. Then you give up 13 more points in a 5 min span to start the 3rd. Now youre down 27-20. Even with all that said up 28-27 with central at your 1 line you recover the fumble which all likely wins you the game but instead you gifted them the game right back with a encroachment penalty which wiped out the fumble.

Overall great game. Southridge had central reeling, started feeling themselves took they feet off the gas, something you NEVER do especially vs a quality opponent such as central. And because of it southridge undefeated regular season comes to a end at (8-0) and falls to (8-1). Still have everything in front of them as far as a deep playoff run,but man what a blown opportunity tonight.

Good crowd in The Fort for this one in which FPC never trailed. It was 12-3 at the half with FPC having a balanced attack with the run and QB Drew LePlant hitting some passes across the middle, including a 23 yard crossing route to JJ Hill who made a nice grab at the goal line while getting nailed by the safety. I thought the key play of the night was when Jensen faced a fourth and 18 at the FPC 38 in the middle of the 3rd down 12-3 and decided to go for it, even though they had problems all night with pass protection. The result was a 7 yard sack, and on the next play, FPC hit a 55 yard TD pass to make it 18-3 and that was basically it. Jensen cut it to 18-11 on their next drive early in the 4th, but FPC answered with 2 more TD to make it 32-11 before Jensen returned the kickoff back to cut it to 32-18 with a little over 4 minutes to go, but they never got the ball back. FPC finishes up with Centennial and Westwood in the Battle of The Fort, and stands a good shot at finishing 9-1. It's by FAR the best team that FPC has had since we've lived here.

What district fpc in & with the loss i hope jensen seeding drop so dillard can get that 2 or 3 seed

They were lucky to be in a bad class and weak bracket. They didn’t have to play a team in the state top 15 at all the whole playoffs.

Their semi final opponent wasn’t even top 25, and the finals opponent was 19th. Which is generous for both.

    And they barely beat Southridge.

in the top classes (4A-7A) West Boca in 6A had by far the easiest path to a title

Whose their biggest obstacle this year ,? Southridge again ?

This might not have been a big upset.

West Boca hasn’t beaten anyone of note all year. The one good team they played, they lost. They are literally ranked for having a bunch of virtual school transfers per @PinellasFB

    LOL.

    West Boca is fools gold!!!!!!!!

Lmao lol they got Atlantic next week I believe and Atlantic dam near lost to creek last week so we will see what happen

That was their kickers first miss of the season.

This was the classic “TRAP GAME”…Last week the avenged their only losses last season against Bishop Verot and clinched their district. This week was a 2-5 team they beat last year, and some players/fans have started chirping about Muck Bowl. Maybe they weren’t as buttoned up this week in practice and a short week, was a recipe for an upset.

GC only score 14 points last week and they’ve been getting away from the running game (and the best player #5). Hopefully they keep trying to pass against Pahokee. They do have a D1 caliber WR #15, A. Crawford (freshman).

So you think they were looking ahead to pahokee ?
