Let’s take Dillard vs Crestview for example if Dillard basketball gym holds over 8,000 easily. I know for a fact our side would have been filled which is seated for 4,000. but I believe Crestview would have traveled well as well. I’m not sure exactly where there located but I know it would have been a great showing

But look at the nba their championships game 7 or in general is held at a home gym the way I feel if you have a better record and have a better ranking nationally you should be able to host the championship game. Then each home team could have that night cap game just in different parts of the state. Same with the semis.

Crestview is this years champs as much as I’m a die hard panther bleeding blue && gray. This just want our year to win it all but instead it was Crestview & their awesome community time. Their team put in the work and their fans trusted the process. So in that WELL DONE CRESTVIEW enjoy there is no greater feeling it takes a lot to get to this point win or lose. I agree with all that until the last part every gym u named held 1,000 plus people. Don’t you think that would still look odd. The finals in basketball in high school can’t even eclipse 200 people for each fan base. Yesterday it probably barely 200 people combined for both schools. And that was for each matchup until the fan bases improves I don’t think you need a arena or college gymnasium to hold the finals.

They can also travel look at Dillard we went to Vegas and I believe Carolina to play in tournaments our girls even go to Arizona to play in their tournament every year against the nations best teams. Other teams can do the same they don’t have to stay just in their city. You have even teams coming from across the country to play in south Florida kruel classic and city of psalm tournament

True but at least in football the attendance reaches over 1000 even 2000 these basketball finals are not even reaching at least 200 fans for each fan base. That’s sad!! In that case just have it on campus.

In my humble opinion their is no way as of right the finals for high school basketball should be held at the Lakeland center. Year after year the gym is not even a quarter full let alone half. With both fan bases combined the total barely eclipse 200 people. Looking at the games today all u saw was empty seats. The way I see it at this point who ever the home team is should host the championship. Like they do in the nba. A gym that seats over 3000 plus with only 200-250 plus combined fans looks foolish.
