Today will be a SPECIAL DAY Today at Dillard first the soul bowl parade that’s gonna bring the city out then the all day tailgating then the evening pep rally that’s goung to be LIT AS HELL!!! then finally for the first time in over 45 years a SOUL BOWL game will be played on DILLARDS HOME TURF!!!

how have this game turned out on the field recently ...throws up in mouth for the past ten years ely has had the upper hand Dillard had lost 5 in a row to ely and in all 5 Dillard was the favorite going in which shows when true heated rivalry games take place records go out the window. Dillard finally ended that streak last year blasting ely 34-16 at ely in front of over 7,000 fans collectively
even tho I’m in another state I’m still rooting for 10 toes down for my panthers hate that I’m missing this historic game tho

Last time these last two teams met was in 2013 in the second round of the playoffs after Dillard upsetted carol city at home
the year of the yearby and dalvin cook boys in the second qt with 3 min left it was 14-15 with central leading the rockets went on to win 59-14.

Well there it is!!! It’s confirmed Miami central is locked in as the 5th seed while Dillard is locked in as the 4th seed with 36 points while mainland is approaching 40 and carol city and others are at 40.
if I’m going to be honest other then playing carol city this was the last match up I wanted usually as a district champion u get a sorry opponent well in Dillard’s case we always get national ranked competition as our reward for being district champion.
but u know what I embrace it coming into this year I knew Dillard wouldn’t be vying for a championship did we improve ? Yes a lot but this year was all about creating a TRUE IDENITY for the program and building a foundation.
In regards to the game no one in their right mind would pick us to win and rightfully so all I want is for Dillard to leave it all on the field play their best and leave the game injury free and most of all as sophomores and juniors learn from this off season and come back even better next year. GO PANTHERS GO!!!

Most elite team ? Sure all around best team from coach’s all the way down ? I’ll give that to IMG & how I feel it’s all about matchups and who match up with who better personally I think a team like wekivia and etc would give carol city problems on any given night.

There may be some teams not on the list that could beat Dillard on a given night because of the way their particular team matches up against the Panthers. I bet there are at least 50 "good" teams that could beat each other on any given night and who we could debate are the #26-50 teams in the state.
We don't have Top 50 polls in college, and I think high school is much tougher than the NCAA to do rankings since there are a lot more teams to consider. So, to say a certain team in FL is the #48 team in the state is pretty random. Who cares what I think anyway? Even if I said they were #37 or #63, it really wouldn't mean much. Be happy with your team for the progress they have made and don't worry what others think in the rankings. That's my advice.

What i like from a outsider perspective isn't anything that's been on the field for Dillard
I like that their coach clearly has a goal in mind and a plan in place and seems to be trying to restore the pride not only in the Dillard fanbase but also in the student body
He will make them competitive and once a blueprint is in place then dillard will start attracting some of the other studs in broward county that before were going to other schools and that will make Dillard contenders
I agree I see Dillard actually being competitive in their first round who ever it is since 2013 we saw carol city 5 times in the first round lol talk about consistency

No it may not be national history and know it may not be extraordinary history but what Dillard is doing this year under first year head coach and coaching staff can’t be ignored.
Now granted is Dillard championship caliber yet ? NOOO!! BUt everything is a process and we are on the right track to becoming a contender.
NOW THE HISTORY: Dillard has scored 40 or more points 4 times this season for the first time in over 13 years.
they held multiple teams scoreless for the first time in over 18 years.
and their 3 game stretch of 44-0 46-3 and 41-0 our scoring their 3 opponents 131-3 is their most dominant 3 game stretch in over 25 years.
Now again was it against the best of the best elite & so on ?? NO but this a different Dillard team rather then the past last year or before we struggled to put these same teams away but what do good or great teams do when they play inferior opponents they eat them alive which is what Dillard has done this year below our their results against all their district opponents

again I’m not trying to say Dillard is ready to beat central carol city & etc but for years it seem my panthers couldn’t get out their own way losing games they shouldn’t lack of care & discipline but for the first time in over 20 years the panther faithful can finally see change and growth.
