My panthers hit the road Thursday night for their final game of the regular season as they try to become just the second dillard team in dillard history to go (10-0) in the regular season.

#1 Archbishop McCarthy Hosting #8 Hialeah 
#2American heritage hosting #7 plantation in a rematch of district foes.
#3 Dillard hosting #6 John Carroll Catholic in a rematch of last year 1st round matchup where dillard traveled to ft pierce as a district champion and emded the rams perfect regular season.
#4 Jensen beach would host #5 Miami norland.
As far as seedings a few of these teams played their final regular season game last week (Heritage,norland) so despite what happens this week alot of these teams are locked in their spots.
Archbishop is locked in at #1. Heritage is locked in at 2. Dillard is locked in at 3. Jensen beach is locked in at 4. Norland locked in at 5. Plantation locked in at 7. 
As for dillard everything is in front of us, 4A is as wide open as ever. So we just have to take it one week at a time and see where we end up at the end.

Final score is not even a true statement how this game really went dillard was up 28-0 then 41-7 with 2 minutes to go in the game both desperation touchdowns was with our backups in 

If we can't put up 17 points ban us from post season play this year and I mean that lol

Central losing this game wouldbr have done anything being that 3A is so putrid the west or central is winning 3a barring catastrophic circumstances.
As for southridge this game was more about them, proving if their for real. You come in as underdogs you go up 20-0 2nd qt. Then you allow 13 points in 2 min. Then you give up 13 more points in a 5 min span to start the 3rd. Now youre down 27-20. Even with all that said up 28-27 with central at your 1 line you recover the fumble which all likely wins you the game but instead you gifted them the game right back with a encroachment penalty which wiped out the fumble.
Overall great game. Southridge had central reeling,started feeling themselves took they feet off the gas,something you NEVER do especially vs a quality opponent such as central. And because of it southridge undefeated regular season comes to a end at (8-0) and falls to (8-1). Still have everything in front of them as far as a deep playoff run,but man what a blown opportunity tonight.

They're fuming down here in south fl they say the refs down there in lake gibson was criminally bad, like disgusting bad. Mater led 20-0 3rd qt and ended up losing 34-26

This might not have been a big upset. 
 
West Boca hasn’t beaten anyone of note all year. The one good team they played, they lost. They are literally ranked for having a bunch of virtual school transfers per @PinellasFB

Hopefully youre at dillard vs boynton beach next week. It's our last home game for rhe regular season, senior night,  Panthers trying to get to (9-0) or better for the 2nd time in school history and you'll be able to finally see our new field.

A lot of close misses for Sebring this year.  This is actually their 3rd win and they are the only team that has beat Martin County and now Glades Central.  5 losses were to CCC, Lakeland, Port Charlotte, Booker and Lake Wales.  Port Charlotte, Booker and Lake Wales all came down to the last possession.  
 
So this isn’t nearly as big of an upset as it may seem.  The LAZ index had GC winning by 1.

So on another florida high school football forum on Facebook me and few football bros was talking about the upcoming playoffs and the potential seedlings and matchups for each school if the playoffs were to start today.
and for example "4A REGION 4" if the playoffs started today 
#1 (4-3) American heritage Would Host #8 (3-5) Miami norland 
#3 (5-2) Archbishop McCarthy Would Host #6 (6-2) John Carroll Catholic 
#2 (7-0) Jensen Beach Would Host #7 (6-2)
#4 DILLARD (8-0) Would Host #5 (4-3) Plantation. 
Now what doesn't makes sense to us, is How in the world is a district winner not a automatic top 4 seed. And what's even crazier is how in the hell can a none district winner and dare I say a non district winner with a none winning district record be awarded a Top 4 seed.
for Example - Last year ALL 4 TEAMS from distrcit 4A-15 made it to the playoffs
American Heritage #1 seed (District champion (3-0) district play 
Plantation #3 Seed (1-2) District play 
Miami norland #2 Seed (2-1) District Play 
Archbishop McCarthy #6 Seed (1-2) Distrcit play. 
And before the point system and SOS warriors come out in full effect , this is rewarding bad football if ive ever seen it.
Number 1 there NEVER be 4 teams out of 1 distrcit making it to the playoffs, also if you did NOT win your district you should NOT be able to be a top 4 seed & host a round 1 playoff game when you didnt even have a winning record in your own division.
I get alot of folks were against terrible district champions making it in the playoffs and their were only 1 other team in the district, but in my opinion this new format is not the answer either. Its like the bad teams/none district champions are being rewarded for underachieving. 
So you lost your district, but because you scheduled tough outside of your district even tho you lost those games to youre rewarded a playoff birth, thats INSANITY.

That is the flaw of SOS, at least the way Max Preps **cough cough** does it.  That in itself is a contradiction to the entire strength of schedule argument because it appears to weigh that strength relative to the team.  It also raises the question of who is weighing these teams and how?  Whatever the formula is, they got it all wrong.  Just my opinion.

I can be more specific. The referees for the Dillard/Garcia game received United States currency in exchange for biased officiated against Dillard. Hope this helps

my panthers are on the road for the 2nd consecutive week in this district matchup,which will for all intense purposes be for the district title. 
  the bulldogs come in (2-0) in the district, Dillard Also Comes in (2-0) in the District.

ON A ROLL- My panthers are having their best season since 2019 where we went 12-1 and made it to the regional finals. But offensively dillard is having one of the most prolific scoring seasons in florida history. Outscoring their opponent 333-23.
The panthers have to stay focused & take it one week at a time & its starts with getting to (8-0) this week & moving to (3-0) in district play.

The thought of that school off exit 36 makes my blood BOIL!! When you think of a TRUE HATED RIVAL GAME THIS IS IT!! Fans go at it,marching bands go at it,standing room only crowd,a tradition that dates back over 60 years.when both schools was the only to black high schools in fort lauderdale for african americans. 
  DILLARD- The panthers come in undefeated(6-0) outscoring their opponents 298-23 on the year, with 4 shutouts so far.
    BLANCHE ELY- The tigers come in (3-2) ,they won a close game last week vs their hated rivals in Deerfield. 
WHEN THESE TWO TEAMS MEET: When these to bitter rivals face off records go out the window,in the past coaches have gotten fired fir losing this game ; YES FIRED!. When it comrs to this matchup the alumnis for both schools dont care if you lost EVERY GAME on the schedule,you BETTER NOT lose this one.
UPPER HAND- After beating Blanche ely 4 consecutive years 2017-2021, blanche ely has recently returned the favor  by beating dillard (THROWS UP IN MY MOUTH) the last 3 years. 2021-2024.
