being that the broward vs USA showcase starts August 21st-23rd, that means that every game being played on that week is officially your week 1 game, which will go on your record. 

The Broward event was never during the preseason week. It always counted as week 1 games 

Ok ok, and I was actually shocked when he transferred like bro yall just completed a state championship season and the schools first ever. 
 
There’s no other school you can go to that you can redo that feeling with. 

Gonna be a nice indicator to start the season which it counted 

Also I think Florida over the last few years has moved the season up a week so a game being so early like August 21st doesn’t look right. Lol. But it is

From what i remember they only count against your record if playing OOS or against an OOS team. Basically just have an extra bye week

So that game does count. So it’s still unclear who we have for KOC lol

Ok so the showcase always happen during the KOC week ? If so that means the regular season starts August 29tj correct ? 
 
if that’s the case then that make sense why our game In 2022 counted against our record because rock creek was a out of state opponent.
and being that we play Dr Philips this year. Even tho they will be an out of county opponent, they’re still a Florida team so the game won’t count.

I thought that the classic happened same week of KOC but counted towards record due to it being against an out of state opponent, just like when we have teams play the week of KOC out of state with those games counting. So since it's against an in-state opponent they may just treat those type of games in the classic as KOC games. Unless those games counted last year 

They have at least 17 returning starters if you include a quarterback, who transferred in after the quarterback from last year transferred out

I’m not aware of all the KOC matchups so drop the solid ones that’s gonna take place, it’s almost that time. 

That central vs Raines game will be a snooze fest. Raines will be lucky to keep it within 30. 
 
and that’s no knock on Raines they’re a extremely solid program for the Jacksonville area. But as shown time and time again, especially down here in south Florida, there’s a difference between being State Good & Nationally elite. 
 
Raines is A Respectable Top 30 Squad in Florida, Miami Central is A Elite Nationally Ranked Powerhouse. And if it wasn’t for them having to forfeit their season last year, more then likely would have been state champions as well. 

That central vs Raines game will be a snooze fest. Raines will be lucky to keep it within 30.

West Broward Vs Corner Canyon Will Be A One to keep an eye on. West Broward and that staff has completely changed the culture of that program. The bobcats got a lot of transfers this off season and they’re coming off a very good 2024 season. 
 
Dillard Vs Dr.Philips (Battle of the panthers), this will be the Must See 8:00pm game of the broward vs USA showcase on 8/22/2025. 
 
Dr.Philips Went 12-2 last year, they’re constantly for the most part a 2 to 3rd round playoff team, who occasionally makes it to the state semis, like they did in 2024. 
 
Dillard Finished the Season 9-3 , Going 6-1 down the stretch, the bring back 90% of the team, with a few key additions, one of them being one of the top 10 Qbs in the state that transferred in from pace a few months ago. 
 
A South Florida Vs Central Florida Showdown, 1st times these two teams have ever faced off, this will probably be one of the best games of the showcase.

Can't wait until the schedules are complete so we can start planning our schedule. If at all possible, we want to take in Venice v Northwestern at Traz Powell.

MNW also got blown out by Lowndes. The biggest difference is coaching and discipline. And executing the fundamentals. It sounds cliche, but Florida is a very raw and athletic state, whereas the other states have more resources to field more complete teams. That’s why they struggle with good OOS teams. Because not only do those teams have athletes, but they have the coaching and discipline to go with it. You aren’t gonna see those teams committing 20 penalties per game
