I assume you're referring to Columbia vs. Madison County, right?    ColumbiaHighFan vs. Jesse!  I know it's only Tuesday, but I can't believe I haven't seen smack talk from either one of them yet.   They must both be nervous.

The kids I train are from dade and broward and they never beef. They support each other even though they attend different schools (sometimes rival schools). Now it's different when their teams play that week. But a lot these kids play on the same 7 on 7 teams and train in the offseason together. I agree that the kids down here are built different and a lot times they see football as their only way out. Which to me is a gift and a curse.

What's most important is consistency. There have been teams, probably more than 1 to 2% that have won state titles in Florida after giving up 40+ points in one game, especially if it's early in the season. However, very few teams have won a state title in Florida if the average number of points per game for the season including the playoffs exceeds 25. More than 90% have given up an average of 19 points or less.

Last time I checked, those roads run in both directions.       Yeah, I know . . . a team north of Dade still has to agree to play the Dade team.

Nolebull, I hereby nominate you to redraft the FHSAA rules to somehow take into account quality of competition.  I'm particularly interested to see if you'll somehow reference ColumbiaHighFan's ranking system to determine whether one team can or cannot play multiple games in a week.
