Dang.  I know the feeling.  We lost 18 senior starters.  Looked completely inexperienced at times.  We left Receivers wide open etc. It was ridiculous. 

I thought u guys would be the team to beat this year.  That title game last year could have gone either way.

Mandarin final 3 games of regular season last year. 34-33 win over spruce. 39-34 win over flagler palmcoast.  Loss. 27-20 to fletcher.   Would u say that is about the same thing as this year?  Do u not think we hit our stride last year?  Can't be concerned with blowouts.  Have to be concerned with learning how to win when things are not going perfect imo. Especially when u have an inexperienced team.

Haven't seen st Augustine since spring.  Mandarin played Lee.  Defense is even better than when we played them.  Columbia fan spot on about the qb though.   They have athletes on offense to help throw in wrinkles for him though 

He is more fundamentally good than being an overall elite qb in the traditional sense. Bartram is coached well and makes few mistakes.   I wish Mandarin could have faced them late in the year vs early.  Too inexperienced at the time with 18 new starters. Different team now.  Peaking at the right time again. 

Unfortunately i don't knownif Mandarin power back is playing.   

A 40 piece on Mandarin????   I think that was the thought last year vs winter park also.  

There are other examples.  The Wolfson/TCA thing looks like it will work itself out.  But really, if Wolfson were to get in over TCA then that would be nuts.  TCA would beat them by more TDs that we could count.  Wolfson would be 0-10 if they played TCA's schedule.  Unfortunately, there is no easy fix.  Every system has flaws.

Correct... I think there is a couple of more things the FHSAA can do to help with everything.
1. Consolidate the four regions into two regions - North and South...  Higher classes have 8 districts in each region seed each region 1-16 with the eight district champs guaranteed no less than No. 8, then after that 8 wildcards go based on RPI
2. Reduce football from eight classes to seven classes. That would increase the size of the districts.
3. And speaking of districts, bring back districts for the lower classes. Going back to my first point, you would do the same except you only have four districts in the North and four in the South and you would take 12 teams per region... seeds 1-4 get the first-round bye while 5-12 are seeded accordingly based upon the RPI. 
I think if the FHSAA can work on these three areas, you will have a lot of happy coaches and they won't mind the RPI deciding the wildcards as long as everyone has a chance to compete for a district. Now a few schools will probably yell at me because they don't want to play XYZ because they won't have a chance. Maybe so for a district title, but to get a wildcard... it leaves the door for many of teams to get one. 

Not really; it just kicks the can down the road so to speak.  Then, instead arguing over the 8 seed that got in vs. the 9 seed that got left out, folks would be arguing over the 12 seed that got in vs. the 13 seed that didn't get in.  I'm not saying that I don't like that idea; I'm just saying it doesn't solve the problem. 

Main problem with the Playoff system is similar to last years. If your district has a few dogs in it, than you have a tough time at getting a wildcard playoff spot, so you have to win the district. I liked the old system better but would have somehow had a wildcard 3 way shootout for one of the spots for great teams stuck in a killer district. Also, I would not have had district champ and runner up face until third round instead of second. We created more problems with the playoff system than we solved. You know the system is lousy when they have changed it every year since it started.

He will be a backup qb.  He is actually play db this year.  Beck was at the game, just didn't play.

Absolute travesty.   My son play defense on the team so I got to see it live every week.  He is completely unstoppable.  Nice at pg on the court too. 

Oh ok i gotcha.  After the new changes, North Florida has gotten more teams in the mix in 8A for this upcoming season.  Hopefully that can continue as well.

Bobby Ramsay.  Mandarin.  Took over in 2017 I believe.   Won title in 2018.

Im from Mandarin camp.  We faced them.  Very good on both lines.  Superb RB.  Quick on defense.   I wouldn't call it a weakness but I think the offense is slightly ahead of the defense. Imo.

Both have been great.  Mandarin does have 4 fast receivers and a qb to get it to them.  Columbus has a huge line and a running game.  Will come down to defense in which both teams are underestimated.

Give me Mandarin by 3
