My picks in bold
Bloomingdale has a ton of kids to replace. I don't have the all of the info on their 2021 squad but you'd have to think they're going to take a step back this season.
Looks like you'd be around .500 with your picks.

I think they be better then both 19 and 20
That's bold and spicy.

I have them currently just outside the top 50 but I will keep an eye on them as they could get a spot into the rankings with a good start to the season
IDK where I'll have them yet but it'll likely be inside the top 50.

Yea Zander is good player but the problem I have with palmetto is there coaching it’s up and down and they dnt no how to finish games
Their coaching staff definitely catches some heat locally. I give the HC credit for keeping the local kids at home and not letting Manatee have their pick of the litter like the previous 30 years prior.

I may have underestimated them initially but I feel my final position for them was fair but I also didn't have any sources from that area to ask (at least I didn't think I did until later on) but what teams should I be watching for in that area?
I may have been selling Palmetto a little short for this upcoming year. Just found out they'll have a freshmen QB that was a starter at Bradenton Christian as a 7th and 8th grader. He led them to the state semis in the christian division. I saw the kids highlights last year but didn't know he had transferred to Palmetto. Sounds like he played really well in the recent 7 on 7 tourney for Palmetto. Zander Smith is the kids name.

I wonder how ST John bosco looking this year & which john bosco is it it’s a few good ones but 1 very solid one.
but as many transfers MC got so far it most likely won’t even matter.
SJB is preseason #3 in the national rankings. They have as much talent on their roster as anyone outside of IMG.

It wasn't that I wasn't aware of them, I just felt you were overinflating them and their performance against Lincoln proved it to me and I wasn't overly impressed with their competition level as it's basically tied to how good that area of the state is which is decent but not overly strong and the only team they played during the season in a different area of the state (ironically weaker area than Palmetto normally plays in) they got blasted
Palmetto certainly laid an egg against Lincoln. But that Lincoln team took Edgewater to 2OT in the playoffs. Wasn't like Lincoln was some pushover.

I'm still gathering the facts on all of the area teams. At this point, I'd say Venice should make a serious run at the 8A crown. Other than that, give me a couple of weeks to get more intel. I don't like to make any kind of predictions or give off false assumptions on teams without knowing all of the facts.

I see some good talent including a 3* Alabama commit but I wouldn't say loaded at least based on what is reported on their team profile but in all fairness I don't think many transfers statewide have been updated to their team so if they have picked up a bunch of transfers they may have more players who may get listed in August
Yea, give a month for 247 to get their updated roster info. I think they have four other kids not listed on the 2022 page.

I'm gonna guess palmetto also loaded again and if I don't have them in the top 10 of Florida I must be clueless? LMAO
Palmetto isn't as strong this year as they have been the last two seasons. They should still be solid but I'm not sure if they'll make my top 25 yet. And you were clueless about Palmetto LMAO. They had Miami Central on the ropes in the state semis in 2019 but couldn't get out of their own way.

Anyone got the 411 on them for this year?
They're loaded again and should contend for the 4A crown.

A good friend and I usually pick one game every week to go to between Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, and Polk counties. Here's our tentative 2021 schedule:

9-10: Bloomingdale @ Jesuit
9-17: Lakeland @ Lake Gibson
9-24: Osceola(Kiss) @ Manatee
10-1: Tampa Catholic @ Berkley Prep
10-8: Apopka @ Lakeland
10-15: Braden River @ CCC
10-22: Wiregrass Ranch @ Armwood
10-29: Gaither @ Hillsborough
11-5: Tampa Catholic @ Jesuit

What national board do you use?

Vero lucks out again!
Maurice Smith, Jr. transferred from Fort Pierce Westwood to Vero Beach and has shown plenty to become a force with his strong arm and athleticism.
I just watched his Hudl tape. Looks like a good pick up for VB.

Jacquez Green is the new head ball coach for now.

In Polk County, which I follow closest, it appears there is more talent dispersion than in the recent past. Lake Gibson is at least as loaded as Lakeland, if not more
My thoughts exactly. As a whole, Polk seems to be as loaded as ever with talent. It's still April, so we could still see some kids shuffle around this summer. I do think Lake Gibson probably has the talent to win state though. They'd still need to get over that Palmetto Hump and then find a way to beat MC. Easier said then done lol.

FIFY
Truthfully when I look at the matchups I can see a few decent ones but really outside of maybe 8a the only matchup I really see of true balance is the 3a game
Sure 7a could end up being competitive if things go in Edgewater favor but if things go south quick who knows
That's fair. I wouldn't count the underdogs out, but I also wouldn't bet on them either.

6A Miami Central vs Lake Minneola:
It's too bad that QB Braden Davis went down with injuries for LM. That kid is the TRUTH. LM has gotten solid QB play from their backup, and I think this game might be closer than some might think, but I might have picked LM in this game if Davis were healthy.

I will say, it's a shame Dillard didn't opt into the playoff series this year. It looks like they might have a better squad this year than they did in 2019.

They were ranked #28 in the nation by max preps and once they lost they removed it I got the picture of their ranking when the matchup was first Anounced and it was #28 by their name.
Man they got you. Glades Central hasn't sniffed the top 100 nationally in years.

Matchups That You Can’t Wait to See in 2021

I was thinking that last season, but this season it looks like the talent on that side of town is more spread around than it usually is. I'm leaning more towards Gaither being the new Armwood as far as Hillsborough Co goes.
