Rumor is EJ was not cleared to play until Monday and with no practice we’d-fri due to hurricane he didn’t get a lot of reps but I expect him to start vs Melbourne! Arunson has rehab when cast comes off today so he will not be playing again this season….I agree I believe Vero, at home, can win this game it’s just looking like the road is coming to an end though pretty soon unless EJ can really learn the offense is less than 2 total weeks of practice

Have you guys not been listening….VERO is NOT a top 10 team in 4S without Arunson! Got lucky against Harmony but the lack of offense was exposed big time tonight! I’m still shocked they beat TC…

So here’s what I MEAN…..everyone seems to be OK with the argument that losing to a “better team” is better than beating an inferior team…my first statement would be “any given Friday” anyone is beatable and I used TC as an example because they won zero non district games yet most thought they a shoe in to make playoffs…why? As I said earlier without maxpreps making there algorithm public it would seem scheduling IMG/STA etc etc and going 0-7 non conference means you should get in? I’m just pointing out what I see as a flaw in the system where not only does TC get in but ahead of teams with “winning” records seems a bit unfair

You talk like you related to someone on the TC coaching staff my guy! Harmony is the 8 seed yet has more wins (4) against teams with winning records than TC has total! Yes TC played 8 playoff teams and beat one while harmony played 5 playoff teams and won won twice! I’m still arguing that you should not be rewarded for LOSING

Congrats you would have 4 wins 2 of which would come against the same team! But go ahead with the six seed with 3 wins

3-7 and they are a SIX seed! I mean was the rest of the bracket THAT weak?

That’s my logic! A team that did not win ONE non conference game is talked about like a shoe-in state playoff team that some people credit as “established top area team” yes I’m looking at you Columbia! Who have they beaten? I’ll wait….Martin county who at 7-2 has played a horrible schedule? I mean yes they beat Vero after Veros QB goes down…but 3-6 and we act like they a shoe-in playoff team with ZERO quality wins! So what quality LOSSES a thing now?

The local paper had an article, behind pay wall, arguing that TC deserves a playoff spot due to quality of opponents it lost too this season…they finished 3-7 with Wins over Fort Pierce Central, Martin county, and Centennial and losses to Chaminade, Jesuit, STA, Kissimmee Osceola to name a few….what do you guys think? I feel it’s like arguing that Vanderbilt should make a bowl game due to the quality of opponents they lose too every season….if they had beaten one other district opponent they would be in as district champ! Just curious if SOS should count more than wins or if close losses are better, in your opinion, then wins against “inferior” opponents

Again let me reiterate that I’m not downplaying or minimizing TC…they should have beaten Vero! And anyone who thinks Vero, after losing a 4* QB committed to SMU, and the backup who got all the snaps leading up to the game is a top 10 team in any division in football is belittling the QB position! Vero is a 75% downfield pass team trying to run that offense with a 5’7” 140lb kid that takes all he’s got to throw the ball…so I stand by my statement Vero is NOT a top 10 team right now

Pump the brakes a minute…Vero beat TC with there 3 string QB and Vero is not a top 10 team in 4s… and I watch them play ALOT! So don’t try to make TC out to be world beaters!

I’m not going to defend Veros scheduling but at the same time TC is a loss to Chaminade Madonna away from not making playoffs…so playing a tough schedule and not getting in playoffs is worse, in my opinion, then playing a moderate schedule and getting in! Also Vero did beat Chaminade a couple yrs ago 21-0! And they did schedule Venice but the hurricanes those years made that impossible

WOW! Great defensive game…Vero loses its starting QB(starter already done for year) and the 3rd stringer goes the rest of the way! Most inspired defense I have season Vero play in a long time.

Martin county and John Carroll both a bit underrated in this area! Both quality teams BUT Vero should have handled them

I can only speak for myself but I never thought Vero was a state caliber team! Defense hasn’t been good enough at all three levels to be considered state caliber in a number of years! Offense can’t run the ball to save their lives and you can’t focus all your offense on one guy!

Nothing to do with playing talented teams! When your QB goes does in 1st half with you down a TD and your offense can’t seem to work without force feeding one guy it happens
