I know our attendance looks awfully light. There was a time in the 90s when if we had a home playoff game, it was pretty darn crowded. Now the place is like half-empty. Even the band is like 1/4th the size it used to be. The magic is GONE.

This "jambun82" character seemed to be a more level-headed poster years ago. Then he started posting more humorous stuff, and then starting going the direction of taking informal jabs at others which was fine. But after a while, his overall tone went further south and became a little more on the annoying side. Now here we are today, and he's basically relegated himself to the level of an outright troll. I sort-of wanted to like the guy. As we know, referees do a thankless job. You're the most hated person on the field, paid dirt, but we need 'em. Otherwise, there's no football, no games, nothing. He was the one who would post his perspectives about being an official. But the way he's been acting lately, I've basically had no choice but to seriously lose any respect for him.

So let's say a player on junior varsity at a powerhouse school wants to play on Fridays but gets ousted by out-of-town transfers and can't make the varsity squad. Sounds fair, right? So do you ask your parent(s) / legal guardian to move and transfer you to a worse school just so you at least get chance to play somewhere before you graduate?

At the time I was in school, I always had this ideology that the players were all local from around town. Some years you might get a few stud players, other years you’ll be down and re-building. It was more of a local game, my side of town versus yours type deal.

How can these people afford to just pick and move like this? How do you know you'll even have a job and a place to stay, and what about the high cost of moving? And what if your course credits don't transfer to the new school and that delays your graduation?
