If fans were surprised of Broward’s results this weekend, you might wanna plead ignorance! Who in the state of Florida would be favored to beat Milton, St John Bosco, or Bishop Gorman? Or could your team beat Peachtree, NW, or Hoover? Florida has had its teams at different times in the past , that have beaten those teams & other powers. Nothing stays the same, ever! Other States & teams “pull in” great talent to reign at the top. personally I was satisfied with the performances of AHP, Aquinas, Chaminade, Western, & Monarch who all have the potential for deep runs in the Florida State Championships. I’m STOKED Y’all!!! lol

I was at the slaughter on Friday in Ft Laud. I’ll help you all out here: 1) Gibbons is far from those State Championship teams. Their DL is not only small but far from athletic. They got beat up & pushed back to where the RB on half of the carries wasn’t touched for 8-10yds. 2) Grubbs almost looked sub par because he had no rhythm because they ran 80% of the time. He over threw receivers & missed his targets(downfield). In warmups he didn’t throw one errant pass. Talent. 3) Don’t get excited about the Rams D yet! Gibbons skill positions are the worst I can ever remember seeing. A good offense is gonna put up some #’s on the Ram’s D. 4) it’s really hard to determine how good or not, Lake Mary is. They just didn’t have enough resistance to prove anything.

I think #’s 2, 3, & 4 are solid. Dont know anything about Benjamin. Pahokee has to be in there. CN was tight with Homestead ( a contender in 6a) till mid 4th. Santaluces will b in most their games because of their coach.

Might have the top 5 right, but you could flip a coin with the order. Of course it’s gonna work itself out. I don’t think Chaminade belongs at #1 though. Can’t keep Columbus off the rankings. Because they didn’t have hardly any transfers, their team chemistry might win them a couple games they won’t b favored in???? Sure gonna find out what Broward has by Sunday!!!!!

Creek is in a middle class neighborhood but draw from pompano East of them. They’re a stone’s throw from Ely HS.

Agree with all your pics. Broncos will win by more. Like Jack Daniels at CN, but they undermanned. Armwood & Norland will be closer. Lotta talk outta Tampa bout Armwood. Built big & fast with their best QB forever. A good OL can beat Norland(see Berkeley Prep). Palmetto, like u said, will always field a solid D, but their offense is usually pathetic. If the Bulls beat em by 21+, watch out. Creek’s DL is their strength. They could give Monarch trouble. Plus they hate each other. Battle of Coconut Creek. Might b Western’s best team. Columbus down a bit. Wildcats schedule tough……

You can always count on Dillard with 80+ penalty yards. Always a couple PF’s. They had a good effort vs Monarch in the spring though. Ice always gonna get the best out of his players. With the “transfer” frenzy, Panthers were left out! You can’t continue to change coaches & expect great team play & loyalty. I think BTW wins late.

I don’t know anything bout Cedar Grove or Peachtree. Playing CM & STA early for any school could b an advantage because of all the new arrivals. Don’t know when Monarch plays them. I didn’t say they have talent! I don’t know any players on their team. I said they lead BC in transfers.

Haven’t seen them play since 2 yrs ago. There have been teams that have loaded their schedule & didn’t turn out well. Trinity Catholic, in Ocala, had a loaded schedule & I believe went 3-7 (4-6?) 2 years ago. What saved them was they were in a weak district of 3 teams & made a good run in the playoffs. Monarch has Coconut Creek(I think) in their district & will need to win that game if they lay an egg with that schedule. That’ll b a game to attend!

It probably will b revoted on by next year. I don’t know if extension is the right term. It does give a sample of the team’s upcoming season.

Remember in the spring game, all those recruits couldn’t play, so they’ll look different this fall……

You should know of them….Dillard won a state championship by beating them in the State Championship game….way back when.
