Well, first, your opinion as to my qualifications or lack thereof is irrelevant to my freedom to criticize or question officiating. You don't have the authority to tell me I can't question or critic ize officiating. That you seem to think you do have this authority is revealing of problems with the mindset held by at least some officials.

That part right there is what drives coaches crazy on the sidelines. I will add that most officials seem to not have egos and are in it for the kids. I guess the same can be said for coaches as well.

My experience involves thirty years of having Friday nights revolve around high school football games, watching or participating in several games every single weekend in that time. My qualifications as someone asking questions, is that I am a human being who is curious about things that don't make immediate sense to me. My qualifications related to speaking to the fan's viewing experience is that I've been a fan viewing and attending games at all levels of football for 35 years (we had season tickets to Gator games starting when I was ten years old in 1988. Run Emmitt, run!)

So, I think the questions above reveal a blind spot. Many refs believe it is all about them, and them doing what's "right", whereby "right" has zero regard for what players may encounter at superior levels of the game, or how fan's view the experience of watching games.  The notions that you may be teaching "lessons" which are actually not applicable to superior levels of the game, or that the incessant ticky-tack penalty calls and officials' delays ruin the experience for fans, may be totally lost on most officials.

    BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!

ExplereHomer2, that is an extreme view, and I cannot agree with all of your observations. However, when a poster criticizes officiating or officials on this message board, that poster will answer to me. I will put anybody in their place when it comes to officiating on this message board, you can take that to the bank and exchange it for cash.

    true homer then,

no wonder all those twitter posts calling poinciana best dbs, best this best that, #2 team in county, no wonder your account got suspended....

call it llike i see it

Seems like more than a few kids left Osceola and went to Poinciana. Including a few DB's that AllOsceolaCountyFB is claiming to be the best in the county. Looks like to me Osceola Trains them and Poinciana plays'em.

Exactly, I spoke on palmetto before week 1 & how they a sleeper forsure. Palmetto never been a pushover, how quickly we forget they had 3 5stars just a couple years back in Jason Marshall, Corey & Leonard Taylor.

Palmetto had a great team that year. The defense was awesome. But lost to Kissimmee Osceola in the semis at the Mecca. Palmetto would have won the state title for sure if their QB never got hurt late in the season.

It can get confusing because Maxpreps offers two sets of rankings. They have their own rankings published by human writers, and the other ratings are straight from Calpreps. FHSAA uses the Calpreps computer ratings (minus the margin of victory component)...which they refer to as "Maxpreps ratings"...but are actually just the calpreps ratings. Those ratings, to be even remotely credible, rely on margin of victory. So, taking it out makes for very poor ratings. We saw that last year and, if nothing changes, they will be very poor again this year.

This is to be expected when people who are very much uninformed are making critical decisions.

Facts though man this season is going to be one for the decade. Especially excited to see norland put 50 on lakeland at their house. Replay of 15-16 CC game but except no excuses.

I get that. But having never played a game why should that team be ranked above any team who has played. Even the worst team in the state has played a game and has established something. So how can a team who has never played be given a ranking that is about 150 places above the bottom?

    Coach Beek,

         Welcome to Max Preps

Sorry, but you're not allowed to agree with another poster on this Board.  It's against the rules.   If you think you agree with something that someone has posted, you have to ignore that post and go back to one of their earlier posts that you don't agree with and then attack that post (or attack the poster himself).   B)

But you know what's so bad is Deerfield Beach could never do anything with all the transfers they were getting. Can you or anyone give me a winning season from the past 6 years

Deerfield is 57-16 the past 6 years. By winning season I hope you meant championships. Because they are without a doubt very competitive and have had a winning season the past 6 years.
