And all of these recommendations will take two-years before anything can be implemented. They will have to have another read by both the Football Advisory and ADAC in 2024 before they go to the board for an official vote, if they make it that far.

Lace is highly appropriate given we have to tie our laces up to get out on the field! Thank you much! -

Joshua Wilson replied to Joshua Wilson's topic in The Huddle
It appears looking at an Orlando Sentinel article now, CFCA was misled from the sounds of it. https://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/highschool/football/os-sp-hs-cfca-football-fhsaa-jeremy-campbell-20230118-ipqdtisujzhr7jfvz5c3kf6pci-story.html -

SSAC 11-Man is for the smaller private/charter schools. They will have their own champs. Atlantic League will have their own champs as well. -

Yes, the student was enrolled at Dr. Phillips from what I have been able to look up. The only reason I did not name that school in specific as it was not in correlation to the article, only the fact Central Florida Christian was removed from the SSAC due to the violations. -
The Sunshine State Athletic Conference will have over 75 teams across three different leagues going into the 2023 season which is the largest number of programs they will have ever since forming in 2008. 40 team will make up the 11-man league which is mostly private and small charter schools while the Atlantic league will have 12 teams mostly consisting of struggling public high school programs. The 8-man league will have 25 teams across six divisions. Here is more on everything including quotes from the SSAC: https://floridahsfootball.com/2023/01/25/sunshine-state-athletic-conference-announces-2023-teams-for-11-man-8-man-and-atlantic-leagues/

The top tweet from Hawthorne winning it all... this expresses it all here in this one: -

I will nip this one in the bud here and say let's not go down this rabbit hole of what happened two games ago. Hawthorne is a proud little town and this has been a goal for years. I do not want to take away from the kids here. -
I will be doing the Coaches Moving Van once again. Please email directly via email at joshua.wilson@floridahsfootball.com.

Also the responsibility of the schools to make sure the correct information is submitted. It goes both ways when it comes to data.

It is the margin of victory factor that is not equated into the formula for the FHSAA. I am telling you all this now. If the margin of victory component was added in you would see how it impacts SOS significantly and the rankings themselves.

Suggesting we should banish districts once and for all or should coaches put more emphasis on their non-district schedule?
-
About time they woke up from their slumber on that one.

Watered down? Looking at this week's games, they are mostly competitive matchups outside a couple of games. Are we really serious that we are going to say this is watered down? Of course we could be like New Jersey and hand out 20 plus titles a year. We could be like them.

These teams have been in the same district and region at many times over the years. Try another argument with this one.

You just admitted it... just totally admitted it here why we have Metro/Suburban now.

There have been a few the FHSAA has gone after, but the numbers and a breakdown you are asking for would take going through a public records request and something I do not have the funds for at this time (wish I could get this info, but currently more worried about trying to keep a roof over my head at the moment).
