No, not even a Top 25 preseason team (that would not have mattered Kinnan or no Kinnan).

They just got a QB transfer from Sebastian River out of Indian River County. Not sure how good that tells you what he could bring to the table considering Sebastian River was 2-8 last year.

You are right, but as you know Manatee will now become an average team without Kinnan. Just hard to replace him.

This no doubt shakes up the landscape of high school football in Manatee County for the foreseeable future. Hard to fathom that neither Kinnan or Paul Maechtle will not be coaching this year.

Which teams do you think will be the Top 10 teams to start of the 2014 season in the Panhandle. Panhandle includes areas west of the Time Zone line. Only Central Time team not included is Wewahitchka. They are part of the Big Bend Area. My initial thoughts on a Top 5 so far: 1. Niceville 2. Escambia 3. Tate 4. Blountstown 5. Slick, its not so much the coaching staff. The area has suffered at rates of 40 percent unemployment over the last few years and some of the families have moved away to find work. Things are returning and Pahokee did make the playoffs this past season, but not the Pahokee team we all still know them as. Glades Central having a new (and former coach) back on the sideline should help things...hopefully.

Sickles should be near where Vero Beach is at...Vero is not Top 25 worthy yet.

Muck Bowl is instant classic most years unless it has been recent times, but still the rivalry is what counts and I think soon things are going to be back to what they were use to be or pretty close to it.

Been told things didn't work out in Perry has he would like them to. He is moving out of state for better job opportunities.

Am I assuming this happening somewhere? I would let the district assignments handle this.

Jay is right that part of it is that we need to curb something with these teams going independent or we are going to end up having such further enrollment disparity that it will send even more teams running for the hills. It is an issue that needs to be looked at and I am just sad that most want to stick to status quo, which is not the answer.

Miramar and Flanagan will be both be great teams and that is great for the district overall.

Hey I know Miramar will be darn good as well. I am just interesting how the coaching change will go. I can't base everything off a spring game. I need to see more!!!

Alright, if that is the case then FIU South likely to pick up some games. However, this is the hold up and they can't hand over a master schedule until they know what they are doing here with this.

Not that we lost a lot of people Slick, a lot of them have come back, but are not active during the offseason. There are a few that are missing, but they will be back. We are here to have a good time. Joker99 will be back in the fall. I knew he would be quiet during the offseason (the admin/moderator accounts somehow were not affected when things went crazy). There is going to be a flock of people here soon once we get into preview mode, because you all will find something to disagree with (and that is what I want to be honest, lol)
