Terrible. 9-6. NSU/Westminster and MDCA/Aucilla Christian would be good candidates for this week. Even Florida School of Deaf and Blind vs Merritt Island Christian in 8-man if you're really feeling fun

Yeah SSAA games can definitely be included for the playoff pick em

Final week before playoffs. I’ve decided to take the top 10 posters into round 1 and eliminate the bottom 2 each round until we get to the finals with 2 posters remaining. The higher seeds from the regular season will always win the tiebreaker each round. Also if you can please tally up your own score this past week, it would help me out a lot. Thanks

Jambun, your conversations are useless.  Perhaps the sorriest troll I’ve ever dealt with.  Do yourself and everyone else a favor.   Shut Jambun down and recreate a better character.  Embarrassing to the Troll Tradition.  Neutral Observer must be turning over in his grave.

Jambun is in peak playoff trolling form. He is really going hard this year, and trying to dethrone me as the trolling champ B)

  6. I have l the results for GC/Pahokee.

Glades Central opened in 1970. I have their whole history.

Pahokee has been playing football since the 1930’s.

Back in the 1940’s there was a school called Everglades Vocational for the black students in the Pahokee/Belle Glade area. They were renamed Lake Shore High in 1955.

Belle Glades High was the school for the whites. They were the Golden Rams. They started playing football in the early 40’s.

In 1970 after desegregation, Lake Shore and Belle Glades merged to form Glades Central

  7. Sad thing is it’s hard to get coaches and AD’s on board with advancing a competitive system because the more classes there are, the easier the path is. So they are always going to want the easiest path for job security, and career perception

Actually every house we’ve lived in she always wants a pool even though she doesn’t swim.  Now it’s starting to make sense.

Don’t feel bad. When my daughter was outside skipping, she was singing, “step on the crack and it breaks my daddy’s back”. And when she stepped on the crack I stood there in horror that I was about to be gravely injured, but then out of nowhere, the mailman falls down on the ground crying out in agonizing pain.

Mike, my wife loves my obsession with high school football.  She will go to FSU games and Bucs games but she draws the line at high school games.  The last high school game she attended was 2006 when our youngest son finished playing.  Her idea of a good Friday night is relaxing with a glass of wine, Netflix and her boyfriend . . Wait! What?!

Yeah boyfriend. Why else do you have a pool cleaner, but don’t even own a pool????

  12. I like my idea the best. Lol.

5 classes, 100 teams give or take per class. That averages 6-7 teams per district.

if you acquire 7 football transfers, or net 5 whichever is least, you move to an open playoff bracket. Assuming you make the playoffs.

Problem with just picking a transfer number is teams lose players too. So just because you gain 7, if you lose 5 it’s not the same as someone else gaining 7 and losing none obviously.

You may be correct, but if they were we never played them from my 8th grade year ('61-'62) thru my sophomore year while in the Ridge before initially joining the OBC during my junior year ('64-'65).  Since I was a foreigner in Kissimmee back then only knowing baseball, I started buying the annual yearbook that included Jr. High and Sr. High to familiarize myself with my new classmates.  Just verified the schedule in each of them.

Yea this was in the 50’s so they must have moved up to the OBC in the 60’s. I’ll get the exact dates later.

Outside of Lakeland and at times Lake Gibson, Lake Wales has historically been one of the best programs consistently in Polk County over the decades.  You are correct, we have played them a lot over the years although I am not certain they made up one of the teams in the Ridge Conference you mention but probably did.  We played in that conference in the late 50's thru mid 60's before joining the Orange Belt conference that included Apopka, Deland, Longwood, Bishop Moore, Lyman and Lakeview HS (now West Orange).  These were bigger schools but I thought the Ridge was tougher overall as it was a trip down Hwy. 27 and included Haines City, Sebring, Avon Park, Fort Meade, Mulberry and Lake Placid.  Those little schools seemed to all be tough back then.

I know they were both in the ridge conference together, but I’m not sure how long. I have all that info at home. I’ll see what I can find.
