nolebull813 got a reaction from Ray Icaza in WEEK 1 PICK EMS!!!!!!
You have to put away your emotions and what feels good, and take the time to investigate before you invest. Sometimes it’s best to not lean on your own understanding until you have gathered adequate information to make a sound opinion.
With that being said, I’m gonna have to ask you to take a lap and hit the showers

nolebull813 got a reaction from KeemD321 in WEEK 1 PICK EMS!!!!!!
The pick em games are chosen to run with joshes forecast. I sent him the top 10 games for the week and he tells me which ones to take out and replace. This week I got 9 out of 10.
I had Apopka/Ocoee but got taken out for Rockledge/Seminole even though the Apk/Ocoee game was a 1-point thriller last year and Rockledge got exponentially worse that Seminole might put a running clock on them. But I digress. Lol

Beat atmosphere in Hillsborough by far is Plant. They pack it and band thumps! This was during the glory days.

Florida has grown so fast that most people are first generation graduated of whatever high school they attend. There have been so many new high schools built over the years, that they don’t even have enough alumni to fill a stadium. Lol.
A lot of these old towns in Ohio, Georgia and Texas have generations of people going to these historical high schools. Their daddy and granddaddy went there.
Some places like Bishop Gorman is different because they are the only main option in all of Las Vegas for a private education and world class athletic experience. They have cornered the market and built a behemoth.
Back in the day Miami schools would pack 20-40,000 to see a high school game. Before pro sports were around

nolebull813 got a reaction from Nulli Secundus in IMO a Team to watch this season.
St X should be ashamed for playing a team that much smaller than them especially when there are so many teams their size that would be willing to play and can punch back

I know its just a crap shoot in the preseason. Some teams are placed on elite level of play in recent years. Some placed on hype. And some placed on the infusion of transfers. Obviously things will shake up right out of the gate.

I think it’s so hard to tell because teams get better or worse as the season goes on. Jesuit beat STA by a field goal in the rain week 2 a few years ago. The game was put together in 24 hours notice, STA drove up the day of the game and played with little to no practice. I was at the game. It was really exciting.
After that STA got going and they were humming. Straight dismantling teams. Jesuit was scraping by against middle to bad teams. There’s no doubt in my mind STA would have beaten them by 2-3 scores had the game been played later in the year at a neutral site.
So with IMG/STA, the game could go either way at any time. Both are elite. If the game was played this week I would give a slight edge to STA being that the majority of their players have played together before. Lol

I don’t rank IMG and CAI just because neither team is a Florida high school team in the very sense of the definition. IMG has a majority of OOS players and CAI has a majority of Canadian and European players. They just play in Florida. If I was ranking them, I would have IMG 4th, and CAI 10th respectively
