I had them at 8 players in and 5 players out but you may be right.

I never saw they lost players so that might be where I had a higher count for them

I believe Mater has had 7 or 8 incoming transfers this year?  I believe they had a few transfer out as well.

Just my opinion...Mater has become very talented, BUT has no where the depth to compete w/ STA. But they are building something special. No team in 7A Florida has the depth to compete w/ STA. The 2016 STA team has back ups w/ D1 offers. But I like what Mater is building...they have a new weight room, kids coming in, a loaded 2019 and 2020 class. I think BTW, Deerfield, and BG give STA trouble this year. But STA will run a weak 7A and be state champs again

Agree.  Mater has some nice stuff going and seems to have a great balance of opportunity for education/athletics in Dade County for a non-private program.Mater is arguably 3rd best team in Region 4 IMO.

Agree. Mater has some nice stuff going and seems to have a great balance of opportunity for education/athletics in Dade County for a non-private program.Mater is arguably 3rd best team in Region 4 IMO.

40+ kids with D1 offers is awesome. What I want to know is how Coach is able to manage the egos and playing time of those players. 

Are those kids just happy with knowing they have the opportunity to play at the next level but not playing meaningful minutes in high school?  Do they just want a state championship ring?  D1 player but not good enough to start on your high school football team.  Now I applaud the coach for getting those players into school, because at the end of the day that what it should be about.  But I'm just curious to hear some of you guys thoughts on this?
