DILLARD @ #1 in THE NATION ST THOMAS SCORE PREDICTIONS

Does that mean you also picking Columbia in Apopka game because I assume we will be underdogs for that game lol ;)

Yes, Columbia shuts down the single wing and Apopka scraps it for the rest of the year opting for the spread.  How do you like that Columbiahighfan?  Actually I don't put a lot of stock in spring games or Kickoff Classics, although some teams are keeping their starters in and giving their all for the win many teams, at least around here, are getting some work for the starters and then trying out different lineups and checking out some of the young players.  That being said sometimes one teams backups may be head and shoulders better than the next teams starters.

Lol alright and I just know last 2 years we played varsity whole game because west Orange and Apopka didn't bring jv and no reason to put our jv against their starters so we played varsity whole game, west Orange we won, Apopka we didn't, I think this game ends up close when Columbia and Apopka play despite what some may think, as for STA and Dillard i am interested to see how it ends

Are you that high on STA or just that low on Dillard?

I don't know what this guy has tried to sell you on Dillard, but they are a 5-5 or 6-4 team at best. Their schedule isn't anything to talk about. They may have a few athletes but that's about it. Dillard is probably the 10th best team in broward and that's being generous. STA, AHP, Flanagan, Deerfield Beach, Miramar, Plantation, Hallandale, Cooper City, Cypress Bay are all better than Dillard. Not to mention didn't they lose to a 2-7 Ely team in the Broward Soul Bowl?

Didn't that same Ely team come within a touchdown of beating dywer in playoffs who is supposed to be a top 5 7a team?

Yeah but we are not putting 2015 Dwyer, Any Ely teams of late in the same class of a STA.  Don't even go there.  You are wandering into territory you that are limited to what you have to debate with.  Don't bring a pocket knife to a machine gun fight.

Probably so. For the record I have nothing against Dillard. Two of my sisters graduated from there. But I will not let this guy sell them to be a good team and they're not, then when I call him out on it he wants to be disrespectful. Naw coach! There are other ways to express yourself without being disrespectful.

I hear you, I just pointing out Ely is not a regular 2-7 team, most 2-7 teams don't come a td from beating a top 5 team in a class like Dwyer

It's either Ely is what their record were or Dwyer was just an above average team last year... Oh yea btw Ely only had to win 1 district game to be play off bound...

Let's just say they are top 50 teams in FL for arguments sake. Don't compare top 50 FL teams to Nationally elite teams.

Just don't do it!

Dude, I'm talking about the fact Dwyer went like 10-2 and Ely went 2-7 and yet it was a touchdown game, is that Ely being better then record or Dwyer being overrated?

Only schools in Palm Beach that can ever field the talent that they field in Broward and Dade are Suncoast and Palm Beach Lakes.  And they can not get it together in either program.  You will find great Palm Beach County teams at Dwyer, Boca, Gardens, but the teams just are not as talented as the teams to the south.

Gardens and Dwyer can match talent as well. Boca can outcoach them

    • I was actually itching to treat some wager some money on some sports matches that are happening above-board now. I wanted to let you guys identify that I did spot what I ruminate on to be the kindest site in the USA. If you fall short of to get in on the spirit, check it out-moded: https://pokeronline.guru/online-gambling/
    • Perhaps the best RB in Tampa Bay iin 2023 saw his program close, and is looking for a home. If he stays in the area,Venice is a good bet. (Lakeland may be as well).
    • And if that same newsletter asked the Osceola County Sheriff Department, what do you think the response would be? If you asked, members of the Chamber of Commerce? (Essentially a union of businesses) If you asked a group of nurses? If you asked a group of lawyers? Also a union cares about the working conditions of their members, but the working conditions of teachers are the learning conditions of students as well. People are attracted to careers because of the values that come with those careers. Political Parties attract people based on their values. So it shouldn't be surprising that certain professions attract certain people in certain careers. You act as if the principal's first question when we have a 5,000+ teachers shortage in this state is "who do you vote for? And are you a member of the union?"
    • I feel like y'all are always solid so I don't see y'all going no worse than 7-3. Biggest question mark for Cocoa is their O-line since they are only returning 1 and on the defensive side they only return their blue chip edge in their front 7
    • Coach Wiseman, let me just preface this by saying that you were the best HC Sarasota's program has had in the last 20+ years. You brought them from being a perpetual losing program to the doorstep of competing with Venice for a district title and a deep playoff run. SHS will curse the day they fired you now that they are back in a rut. You are a true class act, and nothing will ever convince me otherwise.  Our backfield is certainly sparse right now. We do have Dorian Jones, a rising sophomore runningback whom did considerably well considering his limited playing time last season. Our offense will need an overhaul with the graduation of 3 offensive linemen and almost our entire receiving corps. Our defensive line will be strong with the return of Ke'shawn Vaughn, Elijah Jones, and Asharri Charles. Our linebacking corps graduates virtually everybody but should have at least one bright spot with the return of Ben Zarkawiecz. Our defensive backfield is still a work in progress with the graduation of Lester and Platt. At the moment, we have more question marks than exclamation points. And that's not a good feeling with the kind of competition Venice is going to face.
